"Great place to stay for a getaway to the cotswold with a glimpse of relax as well. The staff is very helpful, the dining options great and also the spa is really good! Definitely worth a stay!"
"Charming hotel, ideally situated by the Abbey. Choice of lounges to sit in the evening, loved the decor. It was drizzling so we couldn’t use the outdoor space.
Enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant and full English breakfast next morning. All staff so friendly and welcoming. Loved the stories of the local area involving pigs, emus and tigers!"

"The hotel was right in the centre of town and our room overlooked the Market Square and the church. Extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Short stay parking was very close but it was a five minute walk to long stay parking. Building works going on on the front of the hotel at the time but that did not disturb us in any way"
"Our first room wasn’t great, safe not working, lamp not working and shade torn, pillows were more like cushions, curtains torn and very creased! Desperately in need of a revamp. We were moved to a different room on our 2nd day which was an improvement but still in need of a revamp. Rooms are tired. For the price we paid we expected it to be 4 star but it’s more like 3 star. No Tissues or facecloths - Little things but necessary and what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. No fridge in room either, again what you expect to be the norm when paying £150 per night.
The great thing about it is that dogs can stay £30 per dog per stay) and are welcome in 2 restaurants, it was great to be able to take them with us at breakfast. All bedrooms that allow dogs are on ground floor which is great.
The first night we had ate in the restaurant, we both ordered the chicken burger and chips, chips were cold and seemed to have been reheated several times,
we returned them, they were replaced with more of the same. I think they were frozen chips but they were inedible. We didn’t eat there again! On the plus side breakfast was good.
Overall the hotel is in a great spot, dogs allowed is the big draw for us and the parking, but rooms are really disappointing. I did hear some have been revamped but really the ones that haven’t shouldn’t be used or used at a discounted rate and guests told in advance.

"Room was beautifully styled, bed and bedding very comforting. Staff were lovely and the free biscuits at reception and in the room were a lovely bonus!
One minor issue: sound carried quite loudly from the corridor to my room (though luckily the hotel was quiet so only happened briefly/ a couple of times)"
"From arrival & pulling up in front of the beautiful grand house, full of old world charm, to checking in to our well appointed junior suite, the staff were attentive & polite, the food was delicious, locally sourced & served with attention to detail. The bar provided a fantastic selection of food & drinks & Champagne seemed to be the order of the day, we even tried a pint of Clarkson's local brew. Set in its own well kept grounds over looking Cheltenham racecourse, which was only a short walk though beautiful countryside, we felt a sense of tranquility & relaxation. With a lovely heated outdoor pool & entertainment areas, our stay never felt over crowded. After our 2 night stay we felt refreshed, having been well attended to by the staff. Check out came all too soon from this 5 Star luxury hotel & we left following an amazing breakfast. If you want to enjoy a quiet & unassuming luxury hotel, oozing with history & class, Ellenborough Park certainly ticks all the right boxes."
"Absolutely gorgeous hotel and I can't believe I got it for the price I did. I stayed alone on business mid week and the facilities were brilliant.
A high standard Spa with a beautiful view out of the windows, decent sized gym (although it opened quite late at 7am, not the best when you have an early start - 6am would be perfect) and I even treated myself to a late evening massage (Emily was great).
The food was delicious, especially the breakfast, and the staff were all very polite and helpful.
I'd be staying much more often if the price was that achievable mid week (circa £120)."
