"One day before my family's planned arrival, I received a call from the operator's husband to say there was no hot water and he wanted to give me the opportunity to book an alternative stay. I understood this to mean a refund would be given in this event.

"I had a lovely stay at Church Farm - I made this as a last minute booking as there were some places in the local area I hoped to visit, and I wanted somewhere peaceful and homely to relax, and this didn’t disappoint. Chris and Allison were really welcoming and have created a beautiful home to share with their guests. It was nice to be able to chat to them and the other guests over the delicious breakfast, and to get their advice on where to visit and eat locally. Waking up to the sound of birdsong with a view across the countryside was wonderful, and little touches like fresh milk in the fridge for my tea and a place in the garden for guests to sit made it extra-special. I’ll definitely visit again if I’m in the area - highly recommended for a relaxing trip off the beaten track."
