The condition of the hotel interior is dark, shabby and in need of a revamp. Staff lovely & very helpful. Pool area lovely. Food variety poor. Coffee & orange juice unpalatable

I think most people will agree the hotel needs an upgrade. It is very dated in certain areas and has loads of potential. There needs to be better information in the dining area for food intolerances, especially gluten free items. The breakfast options were not great, unless you like tinned fruit that looked like it had been opened a couple of days ago and the cold drinks machines were dreadful, just having some fresh juice and bottled water would make a big difference. The hot food at breakfast was luke warm, I think some of the hot plates must have been faulty. The guys in the bar, reception and pool area were doing the best job they could, but with the acknowledgement they are having to deal with outdated equipment.

For a 3 star the hotel is simply amazing just lacks air conditioning they just supply you with a fan. Food was amazing different theme every night and plenty to choose from. You can swap dinner for lunch if your planning a night away which is great. Downfall all extras go on tab and you pay at the end of your stay and it’s situated in the sticks so if your wanting to go out you have to either walk the hill for the local bus which costs €1.50 or a taxi which varies to where you want to go.

Return trip to this easy hotel. Cleanliness superb
We chose to return to the hovima Jardin Caleta as the location suits us very well. Lovely and peaceful. Great restaurants within easy reach and great walking. Close to a supermarket and shops. A quiet haven.

We liked the location, room inc wifi,food and the staff. The reserved signs could have been removed after the people they were reserved for had finish with their table. This would have provided more seating in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel in a great location
The Hovima Jardin Caleta is a lovely hotel. There is a great pool and two rooftop terraces. Both terraces have hot tubs with one terrace reserved for adults only. The hotel has a sports bar and this is the venue for the evening show. We stayed on a half-board basis and enjoyed the selection of food. To add any drinks, staff charge to your room and you settle the bill when you check out. The hotel is in a great location with a beach and beach bar across the road. There is a beach path that you can walk along for miles. The local bus stops outside the hotel and can take you to many places for a very reasonable price. All in all, this is a great, clean hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends looking to book a holiday to Tenerife.

Basic hotel but clean and food is good.. kids entertainment on for 30 mins at night.. if you enjoy walking its perfect as quite out of the way. Bus service is good.

The rooms were very dated and need refurbishment. We down graded our room due to the room we were given being in a bad condition and the view from the balcony was of a massive hotel building site , which we were not told about. (no other rooms available so we were told )I also feel that because we’re were English we were given that room , stuck in a corner out the way. The food in the restaurant had good choice and you could always find something you liked. The bar sports bar was very expensive and the entertainment was very poor. The pool and roof top teraces were a good feature, the only issues there were people putting towels out and then not turning up until 1-2 in the afternoon, the hotel staff did not enforce rules about this and it was very frustrating.The area is a few miles away from any night life , but there are a lot of expensive restaurants in the bay area. Good area for walkers , mountains close , but yet again spoilt due to hippy campers , loads of rubbish and makeshift tents /homes , views were stunning apart from that. The beach is about 500 meters away , black volcanic ash . One of the highlights of the day was watching the paragliders flying from the mountains in the distance and over the hotel , then down to the beach .

This was our second stay at the Hovima Jardin Caleta this year, and this time we were given a lovely room with two balconies overlooking the sea and the beach. As with our previous stay, we had a relaxing time, and although the rooms could be considered a little dated and tired, we find the Hotel is good value and is clean throughout. The food is plentiful and everyday there is a wide variety to chose from. The staff are friendly and helpful, and work hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. Overall, we would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the food in the restaurant was varied and fresh. when we arrived it was getting late they just suggested we go and eat some dinner in the restaurant before it closed and then to book in later, was so helpful.

Nice hotel, close to the beach.
Nice view of the sea and the pools. The rooftop jacuzy was refreshing and we went half board were the food was buffet style and was nice and varied. The black sand beach outside has a great service of toasty's & chips or yummy hambergers with the coolest drinks- oh watch out though- as paragliding lands every 10 minutes on the beach! One can walk through to another beach following the path and is more yellowi in colour, you will have sell's man walking around selling large colourful designed material cloths. The water is clean and beautiful to swim in. Enjoy your holiday☺

Very clean hotel with helpful staff.
Tailored to families but quite secluded so need to get buses into main areas, there is a few bus but quite a walk away. Food excellent, something for everyone.

Lovely hotel
Had a fantastic time in Tenerife- hotel was lovely. Large room with balcony and sea view, and the time of year meant it was quite quiet. Pool is o. The smaller side but as we were out of school holidays was perfect for us. Hotel staff were very helpful ordering taxis for us and giving us local information. There is a little supermarket just outside hotel- very useful. Could not fault the trip was perfect

This hotel is ideal clean friendly great location. Food was excellent and varied. The only drawbacks are air conditioning this was not a huge problem because we did not stay at the high of summer. There is lot of building going on the the surrounding area and can be a bit load at times.

Clean and child friendly on beach front
Second time we have stayed. It was very clean and child friendly. Staff are helpful and friendly. The beach is just across the road with access to nice restaurants. Recommended for small kids!

Quiet and relaxing
A lovely clean hotel with good sized rooms, but make sure you book a superior room especially in the hot weather as the standard rooms do not have any air conditioning. There is no shortage of sun beds at the pool. The reception staff are very helpful and speak lots of languages. The area is lovely and quiet but if you want the action it is a short bus ride/taxi away. Great area for walkers as there is a path that goes all the way to Los Christianos.

Friendly staff, the rooms are quite large and comfortable. My only critic would be that all rooms should have aircon. We were told at the end of stay that we could've ungraded to a room with aircon. With the heat in the summer, aircon should be available anyway.

A very lovely holiday
This hotel is in a stunning location Initially disappointed as room was dated and the location of our room was above small bar, however the room had a lovely sea view and was instantly calming. We didn't have air con but the fan was adequate and the gentle sea breeze was cooling!! All staff very friendly and helpful. Food was consistently good with plenty of choice. Something for everyone !! Will definitely be returning for our winter break !!! Thank you to all staff !! Angela & Tony from Scotland

lovely hotel away from busy centre
Hotel room very clean and nice view. Food Great and tasty with great selection for everyone. The only thing I its a bit away from town. We had a car so no problem but otherwise you need to get a taxi or go for a hand walk. Plenty of parking around as well

Another great holiday in Hovima Jardin Caleta
The second year in a row we are coming back to this hotel. We find it spotless clean, with lovely staff, in a great location as it is far away from all the noisy bars and clubs, so it is perfect for a family stay, but within short walking distance to some nice La Caleta restaurants with lovely sea views and wide selection of fresh fish. Beautiful white sandy El Duque beach is located within 5min drive or ~20min walk from the hotel. Food in the hotel's restaurant is also good, every dinner with some different choices so you don't get bored and enjoy the meals. The kids entertainer Pepe is simply amazing! Also family enjoyed evening entertainment especially the Flamenco show. The only negative side is that there are some construction works next to the hotel, so the rooms facing mountains might be noisy, but that is not hotels fault. With any concerns we have raised, the hotel staff dealt very efficiently. So we would be definitely going back to this hotel and would recommend it. P.S. A sea view room is a must!

Personnel very polite. Hotel very clean throughout and located away from rowdy area. Recommend booking a 2-bed apartment if any more than 2 adults are staying. Extra payment required to use the in-room safe. Paid wireless internet connection unreliable at busy times. Good choice of food at the hotel but not very tasty.

Excellent choice
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (despite the weather). The Hotel staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, especially Francisco on reception. The Hotel itself is really nice, pool area fantastic and restaurant food great. Lots of choice each day, and our Half board option was a good choice. The small kitchen facilities are a good idea, and well equipped. Bathroom kept spotless and a great shower! There are lots of places within walking distance where you can have a coffee or a glass of wine, and lovely food.

Great Friendly Hotel By The Beach
Couldn't have expected any more from a hotel, got everything we paid for and more. Arrived to find the hotel room was an apartment, it was very spacious and comfortable with everything you would ever need. Every part of the hotel was immaculate and well maintained including the pool and garden areas. The food was superb, simple, fresh and tasty with enough variety to suit everyone, even a vegetarian such as myself. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, they spoke great English and any questions were answered. The hotel is in a great location, 30 seconds from the beach and a small supermarket, bus stop only 200 yards away, nice quiet area but only a 20 minute walk along the scenic seafront to find restaurants, cafe's and bars. The nearby beach wasn't the greatest, black sand and quite stoney but it was right on the doorstep and other beaches are within walking distance. The TV only had 2 English channels which were news channels but your on holiday, who wants to watch TV when Tenerife has so much to offer. The mountain paragliding was amazing and at 70 euros each was far cheaper than we expected. The whole holiday was fantastic and we are already planning to return next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent. Pool & pool bar were very nice. Room for improvement - sports bar...not inviting. Difficult to find a bar tender at times. When looking for a drink in the evening, we had to leave the hotel as we felt the bar was not suited to an evenings relaxation and enjoyment. We went to the bar next door -Paradiso, only problem there was the early closing at 11pm. Plenty of restaurants is La Caleta but limited venues for a quiet drink in the evenings. They closed too early at 11pm. I appreciate it's a residential area but 12pm would have been acceptable.

Clean and tidy rooms/apartments very good value.
There was a lot of building work going on at the hotel which we weren't informed about neither by the tour operator nor the hotel. We were woken up at 8.30 each morning with drilling and banging which wasn't ideal trying to relax. We were disappointed that there was no information. The hotel however is excellent value for money.
