"The room was a good size, with good storage. Everything was fresh, clean and tidy. The decor and furniture were a little old fashioned but in a charming way. I had a comfortable sleep. The shower was really nice. Thankfully, although the room was well-situated in the town, the street was not very noisy. Breakfast had a good variety of food on offer and all the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Lovely hotel, great spa facilities, lovely room, with some noise as the bottles from nearby bars and restaurants are emptied when your room is at the back of the hotel. You do have to pay extra at the hotel when using the spa facilities if your booking is through Expedia. This is £40 per day, which is not made obvious at all. Parking is on the street, of £30 per day at the hotel. But street parking along the Crescent is free. "

"We stayed for three nights. There was absolutely no service, no cleaning at all, and remnants of the previous guest’s trash were still in the room. My body broke out in severe hives from the very first night, which gradually worsened. Considering the price we paid, the service was extremely poor."

"Clean and compact, but if you're looking for a peaceful stay, then this accomodation isn't for you. It's on a busy road and the windows are single glazed so you can hear everything. Traffic and general town centre noise until midnight, then the lorries speeding down the road in early hours, street cleaning at 6am which is about when the traffic picks up again. The bed was also only a small double (not king-size) so we barely slept the 2 nights we were there. On the plus side, it's conveniently located in centre of town, the shower was good, toothbrush charger was a bonus, plugs and light switches by the bed, and enough tea and coffee to keep us going. There were also clear instructions from the owner so we were able to access the room without any issues."

"We had a fantastic stay, the host was super and informative. The room was large and bright with a huge compfy bed. We had an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was mammoth and really tasty. It’s a short walk into town so really well located too. We will definitely be back! "

"Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay."
