This was a lovely experience, comfy beds, very remote and quiet and a lovely home cooked breakfast in the morning. The hosts were delightful and very helpful.

Nice big room, lovely property, nice owners. Very rural, remote location, gotten to on very narrow roads so coming and going is slow. Owner asks you to pre-order breakfast at a set time, which we did not like doing. But the bed was a real negative. Mattress was quite uncomfortable as you could feel the springs. The closest village was completely closed on Monday when we arrived. We had to drive further to Clonkilty for lunch. Only one place open for dinner in Timoleague.

Hi Ann . Thank you for staying with us and giving us your feedback . I would like to reply to your comments. Our location is clearly stated as a rural country setting that I can't change and it is up to the guests to check where I am .It is part of the rural Ireland experience. Clonakilty was only 10 mins drive from Timoleague on a main road R600 which really isn't far.. Alot of places have limited options at the start of the week especially in off peak times . In relation to breakfast the only reason for that is to have a smooth running as B&B don't have alot of staff or room to accommodate everyone together, it also reduces waste and waiting time.. The mattress is a new mattress which was delivered in the start of March so it is hard to see how the springs are out and all other guests have made no comment in relation to this. Overall I am sorry that you felt this way but we would have appreciated if you had given us your feedback before leaving our B&B. B&B 's are small businesses trying to survive and high energy costs don't help. Thank you again for staying with us . Regards Noreen & Joe

Just about everything was superb. Way out in the country, cattle running in the field behind us, beautiful setting, gorgeous patio, service and food were top notch. It would be hard to find a fault here.

Beautiful garden, very well mentained, you can use a chimney in the evening in the garden, was lovely. But you need to like dogs, there are 2 big dogs, friendly enough, but doesnt let you to eat anything outside in the garden, which is a pitty. We visited the place during Covid 19, couldnt use the living room, was closed. Our room was clean, big enough, Covid 19 safety meassures in place. The house is slight isolated, If you want to eat in a restaurant, may be a problem, you need to book in advance or you need to drive 20 min, so you cant have a drink. Overal was a pleasant experience, we recommend the place.

Thank you for your review and comments. I always check with guests if they are ok with the dogs and if not the dogs are put in their run. Labradors are friendly dogs and if you engage with them (patting, rubbing and throwing the ball) they will keep coming back. If it was brought to my attention I would have dealt with it . We are located as stated in our description in the country and it is quiet and peaceful. All restaurants due to reduced numbers (Covid19) are extra busy and booking would be advisable but there are options within 10 to 15 mins drive, Drinks etc can be placed in the fridge which you availed off during your stay We are disappointed by your comments especially as we accommodated your request for a third night and none of above issues were mentioned to us.

Kilcatten Lodge is in the countryside, breathtaking views out the back of their property and we were sent to Courtmacsherry for supper which was superior. breakfast was wonderful, Great experience!

The property was beautiful and very clean. The owners were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. They called and made our dinner reservations for us, as we arrived later in the day. If we had stopped at this B&B at the beginning of the trip, it would have been very difficult to move on. Breakfast was great and plentiful. If I am ever in the vicinity of this B&B, I'll stay with Noreen and Joe.

We had a room with a double and single bed, and my wife moved to the single, when i took too much room. Shower a bit small, but as large as it can be with slope of roof. Noreen was a great hostess, offering to drive us to the Pink Elephant restaurant. Breakfast was super. Location great for our progression along the coast.

Absolutely wonderful hosts and stay
Absolutely enjoyed our overnight stay at Noreen's and Joe's place in the country. A bit hard to find but if you pay attention to the L signs along the R road you will find it. I did not ask Noreen for directions ahead thus it would have been simpler but nevertheless got there just by asking a neighbor who happened to be heading down the road. Noreen and Joe and son Shane are just folks that will forever leave you with good memories about your visit to their country. As you walk in they will instantly make you feel very welcome. Love every bit of our stay, thank you Noreen, Joe and Shane.

B and B owner so accommodating. We were late arriving and she was incredibly understanding when we forget to put in our order for our breakfast the following morning. Great breakfast and very comfortable surroundings. A real home away from home.

Very clean place with good WiFi great breakfast.
A little hard to find without a GPS but what a great place. Very clean, breakfast lovely and run by the nicest people. A short drive into town (Joe,the owner offered a drive us in) there is a great pub with traditional music. Also there are restaurants shops and supermarket . Just loved the place and would recommend the bnb.

The Kilcatten Lodge is just gorgeous - impeccably maintained and clean; charming; and comfortable. Our room was large and comfortable; the breakfast was excellent, and the host was very friendly and helpful. We felt lucky to have found it.

There was a mix-up with online booking, meaning that my wife and I had to be put up elsewhere, although this was not, I believe, the fault of Kilcatten Lodge. My mother found the room basically comfortable, except that there were no coffee-making facilities in it, and the TV took a long time to locate the mains switch that was hidden behind. Breakfast was of a high quality, but we were rather rushed towards the end due to a lack of seating facility for other guests.

Thank you for your comments. In relation to tea and coffee facilities it is stated clearly that it is available in the dining room not in the bedrooms. In relation to been rushed at breakfast I feel is a bit unfair as most people spend 30 to 35 minutes eating breakfast and if this runs over when some people hold the table for longer it puts pressure on other guests. I did suggest taking the coffee to the sitting room as they were finished eating so I could accommodate other guests. My dining room seats 12 people and I was not expecting the other 2 with this booking, I organised another B&B and they could have had breakfast there but I suggested coming back to join their other party member for breakfast . I though that was only fair even though the error was not my fault. A bit harsh under the circumstances .

Wonderful, quaint B&B in south Ireland
This B&B was absolutely perfect. It is family run and the couple that own it are so welcoming and the sweetest. They cooked an amazing breakfast, had beautiful and comfortable rooms, a gorgeous property near farms and a 25 min drive to Kinsale. I would definitely return on my next trip to Ireland!

We were very happy to have landed at Noreen's and Joe's place as our first landing spot in Ireland. Noreen and Joe were extremely welcoming and made sure our stay was a great success. The choices for breakfast were plentiful and tasty. We can highly recommend this place. Besides our room we had the use of a common room as well and there is plenty of outdoor space if the weather is cooperating.

Herzlich
Wir würden sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen und hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Es gibt in der Umgebung viel zu entdecken und Noreen war uns mit Tipps behilflich und wir würden sogar ins Dorf gefahren, um dort das Festival mitzuerleben.
