Tynemouth Holidays

I have visited Newcastle-upon-Tyne each year since mid-2022. Normally in late May/early June, and I did that again this year _but_ also in September. I have always stayed at the Staybridge Newcastle. This time I had a couple of colleagues with me, and several UK collaborators were there too. I am seriously impressed with this hotel. The facilities are fabulous. The staff are fabulous. I really like the location - close to the vibrant parts of the city, but not too close! Over the years I have seen the breakfasts get "less good", but some things re-appeared this year. It is a very good way to start to the day too. I'll be back!

The location and surrounding area is beautiful ,meals ere good and public rooms were very comfortable and well presented. The main issue and disappointment was that the area was a live building site as construction works were still being carried out on the Spa area, Construction traffic ,materials and staff were everywhere and this caused difficulties with parking and Hotel access when driving. The room we had was nice but the TV did not work properly and with no internet connection viewing choices were limited., There was no remote to operate the air cooling fan (room was very hot). The fan in the bathroom did not work and only one window would open for adequate fresh air. Construction noise started at 6:30 and continued until late afternoon/early evening.I was made aware of the construction work shortly after making my booking but was not anticipating so much work still to be carried out as the latest information supplied stated that the new facility was opening on the second day of our stay, this in fact did not happen and work was still being carried out on our departure date.

not really anything other than a place to stay in the city centre which is the obvious attraction - the bar is very unwelcoming and the breakfast was below par considering the cost
