"Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Pub staff also, and kindly gave my father no less than 5 different tasters of beers so he could decide what to drink! Lovely quirky interior - looks small from the outside but had lots of different small dining areas inside. Only tiny drawback was the very steep hill up from the rooms furthest away from reception. I hadn't seen it flagged on anything but that may have been because I used a third party site to book online"

"The stay was ok. Little things made it disappointing, being told day before they had a no shoes policy in the hotel and could leave them at the entrance or carry to room. Mirror on wall was at a child’s height not a normal person. Coffee and tea making was on very low coffee table and needed to kneel down to make it. The place to leave clothes had coffee table in front of it so would not be ideal for long stays. As for building the 700 year old had plenty of character and was well presented."

"I stayed at the King Hotel for a couple of nights while my wife was at Benenden hospital for an operation. The hotel room was very clean and well appointed. "A lovely setting. We stayed in the Lodge which is set a little way from the Golf Clubhouse where Reception and the Restaurant are to be found. The room was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. "The hotel was great, the room was large with a great view of the grounds and lake, even had a hot air balloon experience taking off from the grounds which was brilliant to see, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was good quality, nice bar area including outdoor seating. hotel was in a great location with leeds castle very close by and multiple country pubs within a 10 minute drive"
