"I returned for my 60th birthday given I’d been for my 50th. Given a pokey room with no view in the top floor. I was told I’d be ‘looked after’. My ‘birthday’ gift was a few biscuits which were actually left in our friends room with a card! Bit tight! Breakfast was fine and hotel is in a great location for exploring. Just disappointed with their hospitality. "

"Fantastically helpful lady on front desk (just returned from time off), clean good sized family room, nice breakfast, great location. Would recommend and family friendly. Only downside was no kettle in our room and the total has no bar or ability to buy drinks/snacks outside of breakfast hours which, after a lot of walking each day, was missed."

"Positive: Clean Room, good Wi-Fi, good access to the city Neutral: Breakfast minimal. no fresh fruit, etc... Negative: Staff was impertinent, Dinner was microwave at restaurant prices"

"The décor in the room was a bit funky, but it was clean and spacious. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. To get to the hotel, you had to walk down a sketchy set of stairs. We never felt unsafe, but there was broken glass and garbage on the stairs every day. It was a good location and walked easily to the Vatican and the Colleseum."

"The hotel did not match the pictures online. It is under renovation- which is a few years late. The lobby and breakfast area are updated, but the rooms and hallways are grungy. The carpets are stained and discolored everywhere, there was mold in the bathroom, and dust was caked on the vents. It is a short walk to the Vatican, a hike to the Colosseum, a short ride to the train station. Staff was very nice."

"The room was clean not to perfection but it is durable . The staff were really friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast here because there are so many options around the hotel. The air conditioning was not working but luckily at night it was nice and cool so we left our balcony’s door open. I have to say though… this hotel it is perfect located on front of the Vatican’s museum . Do not book a tour if you trying to get in the museum fast you can just get to the entrance at 5:30 am if you don’t have tickets yet and be the first ones in or buy your tickets 2 months ahead only From the Vaticans website since there is a lot of scam websites . Saint Peter’s basilica it is only 13 minutes walking distance and the Colosseum it’s about 23 minutes away driving distance. You would pay an uber around 28 euros or about 35 dollars to get there . If you taking a cruise it is a 1:20 hour drive and it’s best if you take an uber it’ll cost you 150 euros . My own opinion you don’t need to rent a car just take Ubers plus it is crazy the way the locals drive here a lot worse than NY drives ."
