STG Hotel London Oxford Street

"The shower , TV , refrigerator , aircon and loo paper were all excellent in our Classic Double room but the bed was creaky and placed against a side wall - we are in our seventies and didn't appreciate the assault course . Things we had come to take for granted on our many previous stays at what we now call STG have to be requested from Reception for the Classic room : kettle , cups , extra pillow , room clean , towel change ( the last two never happened ) No concierge now - He always answered every question ! We drank in the hotel bar and dined in both restaurants - all excellent but £19 for breakfast seemed a bit steep . STG location - almost in Oxford Street - is great ; since the advent of the Elizabeth Line , just 2 tube stops from Paddington . I would recommend this hotel on that basis alone but be sure of what to expect !"

"The location is excellent, the tube is really close, the area is amazing! You have restaurants, bars, shopping centers, a park and walkways with beautiful views. Our room was perfect for a couple, quiet area, clean and comfortable bed. The staff, super nice! Beautiful terrace."

"The room was very secluded, comfortable and relatively clean. You can still hear the tube and the bathroom would make a weird sound every few minutes. But once the lights were off, it was very easy to fall asleep and relax, especially with the cocoon style bed and mattress. The area is a massive plus if you plan to be exploring London both during the day and night."

"Rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool area needs far more attention as food cups bottles and discarded towels were not cleared away. The temperature of the pool should be warmer and cleaner as it was cloudy. Breakfast also needs to be hotter."
