"Beautiful big hotel with excellent food"
Beautiful old buidling that used to be a Freemason orphan girls' school. The rooms were clean, modern and fairly big, with a functioning desk and a no-fuss wifi connection. Nice and clean bathrooms with fresh, drinkable water. We got a very tasty dinner at the downstairs pub both evenings - highly recommended.

"Comfortable friendly small hotel in Dublin"
The Roxford Lodge Hotel hotel was a very lucky find. It is a small very comfortable friendly hotel within walking distance of the city center or a bus ride from the front door. It was spotlessly clean with well appointed small comfortable room. It was quiet and had all the am entities I needed for several days stay.

    Pocket Guide: Dublin Ballsbridge Hotels

Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.
