Overall, it was a great weeklong stay for St. Paddies Day week. The hotel is a bit of a long walk from downtown but there are busses on Summerhill Parade (#123 bus) and on the N1 (#13 bus) you can take to town. The canal path is the best way to get to those busses - It was safe but I suggest walking around on the regular streets after dark if alone. Order a Leap visitor card a month or two before your trip . It’s an excellent value for getting around. It won’t work on the private airport busses but Dublin Bus (city bus) serves the airport (#41 or #16)
As far as the a room goes it was very nice and a good size though the climate control unit was fairly locked down and I didn’t have much control over temperature or humidity in the room. Maid service was great with the only complaint being they didn’t provide enough towels by default for our room which had three guests. The sink had low water pressure but shower was awesome. I recommend asking for a window facing the back or courtyard if you like opening windows as the road is busy.
The building itself is very well kept. The elevator Has a bit of a learning curve to use the room card correctly.
The restaurant is good but service was a bit slow for us. The breakfast buffet is either full breakfast or Irish continental with juices. My only complaint is that there was no water available and when I asked for some they brought me a tiny shot glass of water.
The overall value was great and I recommend this hotel.
