"Relaxing, luxury getaway "
The hotel is in a lovely quite location, despite being only about 15min drive from the airport. Only saw/heard the odd plane during the week. Set in a lovely golf resort the view from the room was beautiful. If you don't play golf there is not much to do in the immediate area but the helpful staff advised us and arranged trips to explore the island. Can recommend the spa which offers an excellent sports massage and also the jacuzzi and steam room, all very relaxing. The pool area was vey quite and had no problem getting a lounger. An excellent relaxing luxurious base from which to explore the island. Highly recommend. The food was high quality with a good choice and variety.

"Great hotel with wonderful staff"
We have just returned from a 9 night stay here. The previous reviews are quite accurate. The highlight of this hotel are the staff, they are all cheerful, friendly & extremely hardworking. A special mention goes to Lahoucine a waiter in the outside eating area who made our stay extra enjoyable. The reception staff are brilliant & always available to give advice on the local area. The sunbeds/ shade are a problem, however the hotel have said they are addressing this & it did seem better by the end of our holiday. I don't think the reserving of sunbeds will ever be solved & happens all over. We overlooked the Atlantico shopping centre although this has a side sea view, next time I would pay extra for the pool view. We visited the spa next door & this was fab also. By the end of our stay there were larger groups coming here as the school holidays had just started the resturants & bars seemed to cope well and although other reviews mention cold food we never experienced this & everything was replenished quickly. Overall I would say this is a good hotel that offers great value.

"Great family friendly hotel"
As a family of three we were looking for a destination that gave the little one enough to be entertained, yet something we us oldies could enjoy, the resort had a very professionaly run kids club that could have rivalled a private preschool, the pools were well maintained and in good proportion to the hotel, they had been well thought out with the kids pool far enough away from the adult quiet area for all to enjoy, however with the majority of people wired in with headphones these days most would not have cared if there was a noise. The spa was a nice surprise as it was far better than expected, the staff were well versed in all treatments and delivered a top service using quality products to achieve the results.

"Great hotel!"
We found the hotel lovely the rooms were a good size, the only problem with the room was the mattress was really hard. The location was great, close to shops and the beach. As previously said on other reviews the entertainment needs some improvement but would stay at this hotel again.

Great resort for a holiday with a Young family, location is perfect and the apartment had everything we needed. My only hotel recommendation would be to have a bigger and more accessible park for the little ones.

"Friendly, well run hotel"
We stayed in a premium suite, which was well worth the money. All the hotel staff appeared to be well trained and genuinely friendly whether they be working in reception, the restaurant or as lifeguards. The spa facilities were very good and the treatments on offer were good value for money. The meals on offer were generally of a good standard in the premium restaurant. We gave the nightly 'entertainment' a miss.

"Highly recommended. Calm, relaxing - near beach."
We stayed in a Senior suite which is exactly as described on the web site. The hotel is truly lovely with fabulous staff. The beach is only a 3 minute walk plus many restaurants and bars all within 5- 15 minutes. However you have the best restaurant in Costa Calma on your doorstep... The Terraza Del Gato, do not miss it!

"Great place for the price!"
Enjoyed our stay here, no question. Although affordable they seem to nickel and dime you for things like phone calls and internet service.

    Pocket Guide: Fuerteventura

    Hotels @ Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura, with its volcanic, rugged terrain and breathtaking beaches, is a special destination and a favourite for those looking to get away from it all with a little sun, sea and relaxation. Fuerteventura means 'strong wind', which is fitting. It’s this wind that took sand from the Sahara Desert and blew over to the island, making the dunes and sandy beaches it’s so famous for. Sun lovers can come almost any time in the year to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful sea. It also attracts adventurers and sports enthusiasts with the coast perfect for kiting, windsurfing and diving.

Whether you want a relaxing day by the seaside or active day hitting the surf, visit the Grandes Playas or the beaches of Corralejo in the north and northeast of the island. The Grandes Playas has some of the most beautiful white beaches of Fuerteventura and they are well frequented by water sports enthusiasts due to the strong wind. Corralejo is the most popular resort of Fuerteventura, and for good reason.

If you prefer to sunbathe in a sheltered spot, then Costa Caleta Bay is a must. Another hotspot in the north is El Cotillo, a former fishing village. Nowadays you can find there are two ports: the old port with its picturesque houses, and the new port, where locally caught fish graces the menu of the area’s bars and restaurants. From the old defensive tower of the village you have a beautiful view over the rough bay of El Cotillo.

Fancy a bit of retail therapy? Costa Calma is an African market held every Sunday and well worth a look for the beautiful handmade products sold here – perfect for a souvenir or present for the folks back home.

Fuerteventura has a massive selection of hotels and apartments to suit all budget, many with incredible added extras, like childcare for those looking for a family-friendly hotel, all-inclusive resorts for those who don’t want to worry about catering, and those offering water sports for the action-adventure travellers. Whatever you want from your stay in Fuerteventura, Expedia can help you get the best deal.
