"excellent central location noisy at night with the street. However it’s the price you pay for being so close to everything. One minor problem wifi unable to allow connection to video calling, I assume it was strength problem. Worked for usual functions. Let staff know and they said they would get IT to look into it I was there for a week but it never worked"

"Very nice older hotel. Since it is older you do have to walk up stairs to get to the reception. There is a lift from there to the rooms. Our room view was great and we could see the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle from our room."

"Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Royal Mile was priced ok for the area, but wish it had a mini fridge to put things in to keep cool. I was also very disappointed that they did not have a laundry facility at the hotel. "

"The staff were excellent - really helpful, friendly and efficient. Our room was spotlessly clean, the accoutrements were replenished every day and the amenities were modern. Breakfast was a well presented, well organised event every morning - hot fresh tasty food, plenty of fruit and pastries, and juices/hot drinks. The only slightly annoying thing was the main elevator seemed to be in favour of the upper floors, not the ground floor, but there was a second lift around the corner so it was no...
