"Stayed at Riu Vallarta for 4 days as part of a 12 day trip in Puerto Vallarta (stayed at the Riu Jalisco for the other 8 days). Vallarta is a step up from the Jalisco in almost every way. Property is closer to the beach so it is not a long walk from your room to the beach. Crowds weren't too bad but you did have to get up early to claim a chair near the pools. Food options are good with a buffet and 4 restaurants. Biggest complaint I would have would be with the room refrigerator restock. We...

"Everything is great. The staff are very nice and friendly. The room is simple and functional. Because we're in the holiday season, we often have to wait in line for dinner. Also, since the beach is not private, it always busy and the chairs are occupied all day long. "

The main issue was they didn’t give us the room that we paid for through Expedia. We paid for the sea view room and they gave us a partial sea view. "I wasn’t expecting much from this property but was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, food options were great. Our room had a peek a boo view of the ocean. Those that say this place isn’t on the water probably got put in building 4. I would definitely go back."

We had a family suite on the bottom floor and it was perfect, lots of room for our 3 young kids. "We stayed at El Pueblito Sayulita for one week in April 2024 with our family, in one of the family rooms adjacent to the pool. The staff are, for the most part, exceptionally friendly and helpful and the management is working hard to make the hotel one people will return to. Right in middle of town, super accessible to everything, can see beach from balcony which had a great hammock. Town itself extremely noisy.
