"Nice hotel, some communal areas bit shabby. Radio music in bar and restaurant way too loud, need to consider more muted music and preferably not the radio. Spa small but well maintained. Another customer on facetime in jacuzzi! Maybe notices about not using phones. Staff in all areas very friendly. "

"Central heating in Eve’s cottage was not working, temperature was only 15 degrees C so we had to use the 2 electric oil-filled heaters to try to warm it up, by 11pm it was comfortable!"

"Great place to stay, room was comfortable and clean and the shower was amazing. The best part was the restaurant though, it is worth coming here just for the venison pie alone! Genuinely the best pie I’ve ever had and the staff on that evening were incredibly friendly and professional. I spend 4 nights away a week for work and I will definitely be booking in here again!"

"The service was great and the locationanazing. The walls however were very thin and we could hear all the noise from the pub and the kitchen downstairs in the morning. Also there was an emergency exit light in the room which was very large and therefore it lit the whole room up and disturbed our sleep. "

"Fantasy food, make sure you get dinner and breakfast here. Staff were lovely too. Cabins and hot tubs were great. WiFi not possible in the cabins and no phone signal so you have to switch off!"

"Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. This is the second time that we have had issues with the food. "

"This old coaching inn has been well revamped, service is first class. The food was excellent with good response to individual needs. Although pricey the rooms were up to a high standard. The roll top bath, with no screen, was a triumph of design over functionality. There was nowhere to put the soap! Having a shower without flooding the floor was tricky. The Chef produced first class dishes on every occasion. "
