"Overall stay was OK. Have been many times before and would go again. However, not sure if unlucky with the room on this occasion. The toilet was very slow filling after flush. Kettle leaked water making it unsafe to use, so didn't use it. Fridge was difficult to open due to door leaning towards floor and needed to prop it up. Would make sure I'm in a different room if I stay again."

"We stayed for 4 nights. Its a great place to see the area. Hotel owners are amazing people Staff were all helpful and pleasant.THE food was fantastic value would definitely tell everyone to eat in,hotel was a bit dated but to say it was built in the 17th century it's in good order. Hopefully we will be returning in the near future."

"Rooms are clean & comfortable, staff friendly & the food is very good. I’ve stayed here a few time but this was my first time with a room on the main road side & cars passing is continuous so I’m glad I had ear plugs, it’s something I’ve never heard on the back of the hotel"

"A wonderful property for either a short or extended stay. (We stayed for four weeks!) Well maintained in all respects, interior excellent and the addition of a stair lift, for those that may need it is a real bonus.Recommended in every respect. "A characterful converted cow shed with roof beams, but decorated in a modern way with all you need, and a free jug of milk.The bed was comfortable, and there was a wet room shower.I could not see any way to open a window, which I would have liked, and the Wifi only worked in half the room, which I mentioned to the owner.We were welcomed and again had goodbye said to us as we left, which was friendly.We prefer a separate bed room as one of us gets up very early, but it was OK for one night.A pleasant spot with a good atmosphere."
