"The entire staff was as every bit as wonderful as the sea views from my cozy room. I missed Pier 36 the moment I left, and I look forward to my next stay there!"

"Rooms were old but very clean and well kept ( the building is almost 600 years old lol) staff was awesome, breakfast was great and room was comfortable a little small but we expected that!"
"This is the first city hotel that we have stayed in that wouldn't serve drinks to residents after the bar had closed. Very annoying as we had been to a concert next door and wanted a couple of drinks with our friends after the gig. Maybe something that could be looked into. The bar staff told us the night porter would get us drinks but he flatly refused. Put a bit of a dampner on the evening."
"All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and has a very spacious shower and soaking tub. The breakfast is fantastic! Best waffle I’ve ever had. The bar is lively especially on Saturday. Large selection of perfectly made drinks na there is a late evening menu. The location is wonderful. Only a few minute walk to Belfast Central station and some of the most popular pubs are within a 2-6 min walk. We would definitely stay here again."

Thought to be some 800 years old, St. Nicholas’ Church stands in the centre of town, a place of tranquillity amid the bustling streets of Carrickfergus. The accepted story behind the church is that it was built in the late 12th Century by John de Courcy, the Anglo-Norman knight who had a reputation for establishing churches and abbeys during his rule.
