On arrival the staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room. The room was clean and tidy, and very acceptable. Easily accessible to the old market town of Chipping Sodbury and the stunning village of Castle Combe which we did both. Enjoyed a late pint in the very good bar accompanied by some good 80’s music to help finish the day. Did not have breakfast as left swiftly for our ongoing journey to Wales. Only down side was there was quite if lot of traffic noise early from the main road/cross road immediately outside the hotel, mainly due to a car meet at the near by Castle Combe race track, so be aware of race/track days at weekend’s. Otherwise a good stop of with easy excess from and to the M4.

Staff were excellent but the hotel room was a bit tired with some general maintenance required. Very hot in the heat wave conditions with only a small desk fan provided and windows unable to be opened more than a few inches. Meal was disappointing. Beer was cold

Superb staff make you feel very welcome from the minute you arrive and go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and happy. My room lacked any drawers but made up for it with a huge shower and bath. The bed and pillows of good standard and the CH was excellent.
