"Philip and his wife Nikki have a wonderful Hotel and are lovely people! Our room was tidy, comfortable, quiet, and had small touches like complimentary tea and cookies that were so appreciated and enjoyed by us. I had the best sleeps I had on our entire 2-week stay while here, so much so that I missed breakfast unfortunately--(my fiancé made it though and said the food was delicious also). If we are ever in the area again, we will be back. Thank you for the fantastic experience!"

I had a newly refurbished room which was very nice and had a large balcony facing the sea. But the highlight of the property is the staff, all helpful, kind and friendly.

A very nice OLD Inn, dating from 1561 but beautifully updated to fit in the 21st century. Still with many of the wooden beams visible. The bedrooms are fairly small but well fitted out with comfortable beds. Stairs to the upper floor are rather narrow but (automatically) well lit.Good food for both the evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The only very minor fault is that there is very little surface on which to place things in the bathrrom - use the window...

Really like this hotel. Rooms are a magnificent size and quiet. Staff are very helpful, good breakfast. Things that could have been better and that would have made my rating 5 star all round - would have preferred a double bed (had believed I had specifically asked for this) and computer systems were not working well which meant slower check in, bar service and check out than I would have expected.

Excellent stay here, location is perfect with the back door leading to the lanes and the front door leading to the beach. Ken the concierge was very welcoming and friendly!
