All staff were very friendly. We arrived early and there was no issue with storage of our bags until our room was ready. They even moved the bags to our room for us. All necessary amenities in room including fridge, kettle, iron, safe, towel warmer, etc. Easy walk to most areas of interest.

Very dull dark interior.lighting is very depressing. Rooms are beefing brightened up. The lighting and paint is the problem. We did not want to spend any time in the rooms. Bar area was nice enough. Staff were very nice and accommodating. The pictures on the website don’t show the dark was and the sad lighting.

The property is very well maintained, and the staff was excellent in all regards. However, some of the rooms (Including ours) are too small to be considered hotel rooms and the bathroom layout is impractical (you can't access the sink without backing into the wall behind you and despite the bathroom's small size, the tub/shower is so large and tall that a step ladder would make accessing it easier).

Great location. Lovely bar area and breakfast. What let’s this hotel down is the cleanliness, glasses in room were dirty and the furniture is tired.

This is my “go to” hotel when I’m in Edinburgh, location is superb and the rooms are spotless. The restaurant is superb and the bar is one of the best cocktail bars in the City. It is a fantastic hotel.
