They offered us complimentary treats including cheese, wine and some surprise chocolate to our room. The location was both quiet and a few steps away from lively areas. Breakfast was fresh daily. The rooms clean and cozy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for advice on visiting Lisbon."

"The hotel is beautiful and grand, and is located around a 35 minute walk from the central part of Lisbon. The quality of the breakfast was excellent and everything is prepared to order but the service is "leisurely", don't expect to be finished quickly! The gardens are a lovely spot to have a drink after visiting the city. Some areas need some improvements, for example there was some mould in the bathroom and the furniture in our room was very stained. However overall this was a lovely place to explore Lisbon. Be aware there isn't a lift and all rooms are accessed via steep stairs."

"Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful swimming pool and Turkish bath and spotlessly clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious - so much choice! We were happy to walk to nearby local restaurants and even walked to the Cathedral but do wear comfortable shoes as the hotel is a walk from the main centre and mainly uphill. Would definitely recommend."
