"This hotel is in a very busy, commercial area, which isn't horrible but can be very noisy at times. The Underground is right around the corner which is great. There are a ton of fast food restaurants and a couple very nice restaurants. As far as the hotel itself.... The staff is extremely helpful!! I mean that, they are great. Unfortunately, the hotel is lacking in many areas. We booked online they Expedia and was sent email letting me know that I could inquire about a free upgrade.... When we arrived, I inquired, and was told I was supposed to do that they Expedia. No such a great start. We got to our room which was tiny...I mean tiny and hot. They came to look into the air conditioning and we decided to just upgrade. Back down the stairs and we did the upgrade. I asked them to make sure the air conditioner worked before we moved ourstuff, I was told they would definitely check. . "

"Hotel has been recently renovated, my room was spacious, clean and nice. Staff were lovely. However there’s an issue with soundproofing, you can easily hear your neighbours talking, which was annoying at times. "

"I had a great stay at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington and would definitely recommend it. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Kensington High Street, with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants."

"I couldn’t make this booking and no one it seems noticed. This is pretty poor seeing as they bombarded me with upgrade and marketing ideas before I stayed. So I’ve gone a low rating for hotel attention and average for hotel amenities etc as I’ve got no idea. Co all I know it’s a dump. However had the hotel inquired why I could t stay I might’ve been more friendly"

"We greatly enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the swimming pool. We had constant problems with getting our key cards to open the door of our room. This took some of the fun out of our stay. Despite arriving after 3pm for check in our roon wasnt ready. We faced a 30 minute wait which isn't ideal after a long journey. "

"Over the past six decades I have stayed at scores of former Georgian townhouses near London train stations that have been turned into hotels. This is the FIRST one that I've stayed at that has been completely remodeled and modernized! While the rooms are still small, they are beautifully designed, and the large lobby area is a great place to work (rather than your room where there is no real desk). For a few pounds more, I would opt for a room with a window. For the money, however, I would pass on the breakfast as their are many options in the area: two tube stops are nearby: Earl's Court and South Kensington. The staff is young and enthusiastic."
