"Property grounds are well cared for. Room was great! The food is very basic and not even close to the quality you could get in town. Pools were great. Beach was kinda stinky but gorgeous. Overall nice spot for my first all inclusive. The staff was incredible except the folks at the front desk don't truly understand hospitality especially Albierto Solis. He was rude and seemed dead inside. I'll upgrade to a nicer spot next time but it was a great intro to all inclusives. Think Walmart of all inclusive lol."

"This was my third visit to the resort, and each time it just keeps getting better. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly enjoyable. A big thank-you to Roberto and Enrique at Guest Services for a smooth check-in and check-out, and especially to Gabriela for helping us secure our à la carte reservations—greatly appreciated! Herbert and Jorge at the Lobby Bar were fantastic and made every visit special by remembering my non-alcoholic chaya mojito. Vicente and Rosaisela at La Hacienda Buffet were attentive, and the food offered plenty of fresh and healthy options. At Blue Moon, Isai and Hilda provided excellent service and the food was exquisite. Grecia at Dolce Vita welcomed us warmly, while Alberto and Clara made the experience even better—the lamb chops were outstanding. At El Charro, Selene’s service was wonderful, and the molcajete and churros were delicious. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a clean beach, refreshing pools, and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. The staff throughout are friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the entertainment, especially the silent party, fire show, and beach party. The live saxophonist on the beach and guitarist in the lobby were exceptional. A peaceful 20-minute walk to Tres Ríos, where the rivers meet the sea, was another highlight. Overall, the staff, food, and atmosphere made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended—we will definitely be back!"

"Only one restaurant opened a night. Buffet open for all meals. Food very inconsistent. Some food good. Some not. Pizza at pool good. Coffee shop ice cream was a great snack. Snack room seemed great until i saw a staff member touch several sandwiches with his bare hands. The sandwiches were fully assembled to heat and eat. So no reason for him to touch. Top shelf liquor extra. Drinks were not consistent either. Some good some not great. Hot tub on a complete other floor than either of the pools. Not even hot. Standard 2 bed room very small. One small window by door. 2 other small frosted windows. No view. Pool activity fun and bar entertainment at night as well. Spa offers sauna, cold plunge and hot tub experience for $30. It was nice and relaxing before massage and facial. There is beach access but very rocky. So beware. "

"ATTENTION: there is no swimable beach! Rocky everywhere. It’s terrible :( please look somewhere else if want to walk and swim in the beach Food: we didn’t want an all inclusive because we wanted quality food. Well I felt like we were basically just paying for food that would actually be at an all inclusive. It just wasn’t fresh. You’re paying triple for everything here by the way. It’s a full on money trap. Room: the update and style was very pretty showers were nice. The room itself if you lower the ac you start to smell a musty smell. All of are closes were moist from all the moisture in the rooms from it being so humid in the jungle. It wasn’t pleasant. We did also find a cockroach in our room. We did keep our windows closed. Property: remember if you want coffee and snack you need to physically take a trolly to get there and it’s not convenient what’s so ever. Leaving property is expensive and other cities are about 30min away. Staff: wonderful best part of the place . "

"We visit Park Royal over spring break every year, and have done so for the last 10 years or so. Every year, they make improvements. Recently, they upgraded both the outdoor and indoor bars. The updates are wonderful. Special shout-out to our favorite server, Jorge! He is the best! Much love, brother! You can find better all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, Cabo, etc., but what you can't find in those areas is the world's largest swimming pool. The ocean in Cozumel is the best for swimmers, snorkelers, and divers. And unlike the mainland, there's also never any seaweed. Crystal clear, beautiful water full of coral and marine life. It's a world treasure! Cozumel is our favorite all-inclusive destination, and Park Royal is our favorite resort on the island. We love it. We will be back next year. Thank you!!!"

"Very run down and not well maintained. Small pools and restaurants had average food. App doesn’t work and you cannot get uber from the hotel. Would not stay here again "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at Hyatt Vivid. From the welcoming staff to the warm reception by German at the front desk—who made our stay so much easier—everything was fantastic. The amenities are spot on, and the property feels very secure. A special shout-out to Efren for his energetic, sincere smile and positive demeanor; he delivered our late-night room service every single night of our stay when we got hungry! Overall, we highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when we return. This was our second time in Playa del Carmen, and it didn't disappoint."
