"The location is perfect, parking was convenient and the room while “snug” was comfortable, clean, and the service was exceptional. Would definitely recommend for those who only want a place to sleep yet do want to stay in a hostel. Very comfortable bed and high pressure shower were appreciated! The staff made several recommendations for meals etc… and they were spot on recommendations. "

"The Dean is a fab hotel with friendly staff and an awesome vibe. The restaurant and bar are both great. We booked 2 rooms for our group. The superior double was a workable size, while the superior twin was a bit on the small side. Everything is shiny and new. The furnishings are lush. There are a few teething issues in the rooms, eg they really need sheer curtains under the heavy drapes as rooms overlook nearby residences. Also the in-room record players are funky, but don’t work. Either fix them and provide a more than one record in the collection, or get rid of them as they take up lots of space. Also the towel rail in the bathroom pumps out a lot of heat - need to make it optional to turn on/off. These issues aren’t major, and don’t dominate. Our lasting impression was brilliant decor, fab social options which are worth using, and a buzzing, funky vibe. "
