"Lovely hotel with views over the river. Room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Food at the hotel was good and all the staff we met were friendly and well organised. Special mention to the breakfast team who were all lovely and made us feel well looked after. "

"We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. However the room was lovely and so was the bathroom (which had a jacuzzi!) All was nice and clean.
On one evening they had a carvery which was very popular and deservedly so. Breakfasts were 'continental' style, but plenty of choice. The bar is an old-fashioned gem."
