"The hotel itself was ok, apart from the things we had specifically asked for, were not provided. We had asked for a room with shower only, and yet we were given one with a shower over a bath, which led to us not using it. We also asked for a room with relatively easy access to, due to mobility issues, however we were given a room, which to get to, involved lots of walking up and down flights of stairs, after using the lift. Other than the stated items, the only problem we had was the poor quality of the bed, which led to limited sleep."

"Great location but parking can be a problem. A lot of dogs, to the extent that dog owners have a separate bar and restaurant. Do book in the other restaurant in advance to be sure of getting a table when you want it. It’s the best place to eat in town and the staff are lovely. Getting a drink in the bar after dinner proved too difficult."

"Room not the best we've stayed in, no shelf in bathroom for our toiletries, towel rail fell off, wardrobe door wouldn't close. Decor throughout needs updating ( in all fairness the hotel has just been taken over) and renovations are on going. Breakfast fairly hot ( buffet style) didn't have a dinner so can't comment."

"The breakfast was delicious! The room was very nice too (Executive King). The grass needed mowing and cuttings/ weeds sweeping away - it would have the exterior look more attractive. Signage for the parking and overflow parking could have been clearer - it was difficult it was difficult in the dark. "

"Lovely room (206) on the ground floor with sliding patio door to access the peaceful courtyard (water, fountains, small trees) and chairs to sit on your own small ‘patio’. Spacious room, great en suite. Food excellent (Catch of the Day fish and chips - hake in our case - better than Rick Stein’s Takeaway version in Padstow) Hotel in a lovely setting. Great sunsets. Spa, pool and changing room (Ladies’ - didn’t see Men’s side) spotlessly clean. Friendly, cheerful staff happy to help and can’t do enough for you. "

"It was just the overall of our stay.. staff were so helpful and pollute and the shower was fantastic and the shampoo and shower lotion that was provided… the breakfast was lovely in fact I couldn’t fault. You do get your moneys worth and only over road from sea.."

"We stayed for one night. The staff were fantastic and juliet checked us in and was very welcoming. Unfortunately it was really busy. They had little to offer for a vegetarian meal in the bar. They had a function on and the noise from people shouting etc late into the night meant we had no sleep. "
