"Staying at Ballyvolane was like being in an Irish historical novel. It was amazing in every aspect: food, bed comfort, and especially the staff. They made us feel so welcome. We would recommend Ballyvolane to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in a beautiful manor house!"

"David and Ellis are consummate hosts and this enchanting cottage was well-equipped with anything and everything one might need during a stay here. The home is exactly as described, full of character, charm and history, yet containing the modern conveniences that ensure one’s comfort. (Fantastic shower pressure and temps and consistent wifi!) a big plus: an accessible ground floor bedroom with accessible shower room. (Note, there is one step to enter the home). The horses, dogs, and the bunnies that romped in the garden during the early mornings and in the evenings added to our delight with the place. Finally, a word about the location: perfect! In a quiet country setting, within a three-quarters of an hour of any attraction we were interested in exploring: Blarney Castle and Gardens, Cork City, Cobh, Fota House & Gardens and Fota Wildlife Park. "
"We stayed for a night, came in kinda late but Bridget at the front desk was so welcoming and kind. We were starving and she made sure we could still get room service since the restaurant was closed already. The gentleman who brought our food, even called a little after to check in to see how our meal was and if needed anything else! This was above and beyond! Thank you for a wonderful experience! "
Charming, Modern Masonette in Fermoy River Town. Pet Friendly.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay! We loved the pretty view out the back and the amount of living space. We were able to host for dinner and had comfortable space for 10 to dine and visit."
"This comfortable studio is perfect for 1-2. The view alone is exquisite, calm and serene. Parking is excellent and quite safe. I walked to the Abbey next door and found wild blackberries along the way. The nuns were singing in their church and it was angelic. This is a small convent but quite worth a visit during services. The gracious hosts could not be more delightful & welcoming. The town is surprisingly full of treasures and the area is absolutely lovely.Do NOT miss the Castle Garden and exquisite walk to the Towers. These are among my favorites in all of Ireland. Even the Castle Garden stand is suberb. Any chef would be pleased. Plan to spend time exploring and soaking in the pure beauty of the place. But in the end it is the people that make a place. This is a special part of Ireland.pI will certainly return.Gold Stars!!"
