"The location is ideal - easy parking, a short bus ride into the city or walk to Leith.
The welcome from Luke was warm and room 9 is pleasant enough. The free snack and a drop of sherry is a lovely touch.
Sandaig House just needs a freshen up in the décor department."

It was probably the nicest hotel I’ve been to. Really beautiful old building in good condition with lots different rooms to relax including the library. Our room was smallish but really nice. We normally wouldn’t eat in the hotel every night but the food and service was so good the first night we stayed the next two nights. Very very good. ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother. Really nice walk through the woods behind the hotel. What more can I say, it was...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. The room itself was fantastic - on two levels with plenty of space, a large bed, sofa, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are completely soundproof. There was no noise from the bar or other rooms at...
