"The lobby and sitting area is maintained beautiful retaining the vintage look of the building. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast served was also really good. The rooms and windows however felt smaller and conjusted, however they were very clean and well maintained."

"I chose this hotel because of its location and the good reviews. I paid nearly $400 for two nights, including the additional $30 they charged me for an early check-in. I didn’t mind paying that. The room smelled strongly of dampness. It was small, although at least the bathroom seemed renovated. I barely spent any time at the hotel since I was out sightseeing most of the day. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of leaving my carry-on suitcase open on the bed with my clothes inside. Two days later, I traveled to Paris — and what a horrible surprise when I arrived. As soon as I opened my suitcase, I saw a small round insect and immediately realized it was a bed bug. I rushed to kill it. I shook out all of my clothes and ended up doing laundry at 11 PM because I was terrified there might be more. Room G10 has bed bugs. Please inspect it and call pest control immediately because this is a serious issue. Imagine arriving at your next destination and discovering this in your luggage. Honestly, I cannot recommend this hotel."

"This hotel refused to issue a refund despite clear evidence that the reservation was made without the account holder’s authorisation. Hotels.com contacted the property directly and explained the situation in detail, including that the booking was not made by me and that I was in Stockholm at the time. The hotel acknowledged this but chose to proceed strictly under their policy and retain the payment. No one stayed at the property, and the reservation was never used. Despite being fully informed of the circumstances, the hotel declined to make any exception or show discretion. If a hotel is unwilling to act reasonably in a situation involving an unauthorised transaction, it raises concerns about how they handle customer issues more broadly. I would advise caution and not to rely on goodwill or flexibility should any issue arise."

"My second stay and it proved the first wasn’t a fluke….this hotel is a great find in London! Rooms are clean and fresh, well equipped with kettle, hairdryer, toiletries etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Superb location close to plenty of restaurants & cafes plus 2 mainline tube stations. "
