"The staff were very approachable and helpful. Once we checked in we had issues with the WiFi and TV not connecting the staff did their best to solve the issue and once learning they needed an engineer they instantly upgraded our room. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The roof top garden with pool is stunning though not big enough for the amount of guests and like everywhere you had people who would put towels down first thing and not be there most of the day. Con - noise, the walls are thin and if you are noise sensitive it may not be the place for you. Pro - very convenient, a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and supermarkets and 5-10min walk to the beach. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would return."

"We had an amazing time! Excellent customer service, clean, great location, amenities and entertainment were great. The only thing I would say that needs enhancing … pillows are uncomfortable, they won’t let you take your food to your room(outside restaurants) and wet bar doesn’t have a good selection for people that don’t drink beer. However, we would definitely come back again! "

"We spent 7 days at Mahekal at the end of Jan 2026. LOVED every minute. Small, un-crowded resort with clean pools and spotless, comfortable rooms. The staff is simply amazing and friendly, they made every moment special with their attention to detail. We stayed in the King Palapa gardem view. We loved the natural roof and the attached porch with seating and hammocks. Mahekal is truly a magical place. We did the half-board option with breakfast and dinner buffets and had no regrets. Food was very fresh and a bit different every day. We headed into Playa for lunch, which was great due to the cental location of the resort. We cant wait to go back!!!"
