"I loved the weird 70s decor in the room. Lots of funky lamps, so -- well lit! I do think there should be in-room coffee makers, not teabag type things. I ended up paying for coffee in the lobby. Also the shower took a long time to warm up and the heater didn't seem to work. However the view of the bay from the room made up for all that. And the grounds are amazing. We took several walks on trails and around the old buildings. We also have a wonderful dinner in the restaurant there. And we enjoyed the fire pit. So even though the room wasn't perfect (it was very clean and quiet) and the resort fee seemed unnecessary, we would still still there again, for sure."

"Everything was amazing! Kelly at the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating! The room was gorgeous and spotless, and the property is just so cute! Parking kinda sucks BUT it’s a given in such a small area, and it’s free with the room which is uncommon in Bay Area hotels. I only mention it not as complaining, more just advising people to be prepared and drive a smaller car if possible. We will absolutely be back! "

"Loved this place! great staff, clean room, dog friendly. Location to State, and National Parks. It was so QUIET! during our stay, and views of the Bay made it feel like Island time. We were told The restaurant was in the final stages of renovation, and will open soon. Will return, just to to try that. Thanks!"

"This home was very clean and organized! I would refer to it as a “fair-weather” home, as being out on the deck was a real plus, and being shut indoors due to bad weather would not have been a comfy option. The living room furniture was lovely, but not very comfortable, and the tv screen was a bit too small for the space. The kitchen/dining area were well-planned, great for gathering, although the available lighting could use higher wattage bulbs! Although one can see from the posted photos that this is a multi-level home, perhaps a greater emphasis on ADA accessibility could be stressed….many stairs, no grab bars in tub/ showers. Communication with Jerry was great! We would definitely recommend his family’s home for your next coastal stay!"

"As mentioned in many reviews, the view is phenomenal as you are, literally, right on the sand. You get priceless sunsets from the comfort of your large deck, complete with several chairs for taking it all in.The house was spotless, linens comfy and soft, the kitchen was fully equipped with every single thing we needed to make a family holiday meal. The wood-burning fireplace is the only "real" heat upstairs but warmed the place nicely and quickly. The upstairs layout was ideal for our family gathering...cozy and yet open at the same time. It was not ideal to NOT have interior, direct access to the downstairs but we knew the situation going in and were able to make it work with little nuisance factor. The only other negative a couple times was the smell of the holding tank when down on the lower outdoor space.Management was AMAZING. They responded immediately to any question and went out of their way several times to provide information in a timely manner. They even made a special trip to take pictures of everything the kitchen had so we could plan our holiday meal. Overall, it was a lovely home for a small family gathering and THE PERFECT house to enjoy the ocean and sunsets. We look forward to renting it again. "
