"Chose this property for the proximity to a family wedding, but so glad we did. The accomodation is pure luxury, extremely comfortable, well equipped and with amazing mattresses for a fabulous nights sleep. You are set in the country but with easy access to visit numerous places easily. You can sit and enjoy watching the birds and wildlife. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating and have made a wonderful place to stay. Highly recomend. Thankyou."

"This accomodation has been the best we’ve experienced so far on our trip. The bed was large and comfortable , the living area and kitchen were just right and the bathroom with bath was wonderful . It was lovely and quiet in spite of being close to shops. It was easy walking distance to bus station and pubs. Overall a terrific place to base ourselves whilst exploring Yorkshire. And we loved the heated floors☺️"

"Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride."

"A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. The host was very communicative and let us know all details in ample time. Thanks Angela (and John) "

"Very nicely renovated historic property. Fantastic for a family getaway after Christmas. Easy access in to the town center. Plentiful hot water. One observation is that the kitchen was cold/drafty and as we visited in winter this was particularly noticeable. The door to the main bathroom doesn’t close properly but did not impair our usage of the bathroom. Overall a wonderful stay!"

We loved the conservatory- kept beautifully warm by the kitchen range, though cooking with the range was tricky and we didn’t discover the microwave until the final day! Clean and functional, daughter loved the attic room and en-suite! Thank you for a good stay"

Perfect hotel!
"Perfect hotel all around. Perfect spot a 2 minute walk from the city. The rooms were clean and they added a note on the mirror as we was away for my Girlfriend’s birthday wishing her a happy birthday which we thought was a great touch. The grab and go section was perfect with free pot noodles and crisps and drinks to take to the room. 100% will come again"
