"I love the concrete design and practical setup. Everything we needed and more for our 4 night stay, the first of our Japan trip, convenient and quiet location. Great wifi and iron available when needed. Bed was very comfortable too."
"A little bit far from JR, but it will be a good digestive walk for your topped off stomach. Check out time is 10 AM, it would be great if it’s 1pm. But they offer free locker after check out. "
"I love hotel j-mex. The worst part is to get down the stairs to the property if you have big luggage etc. everything else is perfect. This is a love hotel so you will see people using it for that purpose, and cigarette smell if that bothers you. If not, J-Mex is always my go to when I stay in Japan. The room is huge. The bathroom is the best. 100000/10 we love you j-mex see you next trip"

"Busy hotel with convenient access to both the quieter museums and galleries of Shinjuku as well as the more raucous nighttime entertainment of the neighborhood. Easily walkable to many subway lines. Enjoyed my stay at this property."
"Lobby was nice, great AC in the rooms, great shower, amazing breakfast buffet. Hotel is a bit dated.... built in 1984. Staff was VERY sweet and nice."
"From the moment I arrived, the hotel exceeded expectations. The location in Shinjuku was absolutely unbeatable—just steps from the station and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed.
What truly stood out was the staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They made me feel welcome right away and went the extra mile to ensure I had a great stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tokyo"
"OK, overall the APA hotels are very standard and won’t let you down. But please understand that it is a very low cost hotel and extremely small. So don’t expect something else. Everything inside are well thought of and extremely practical. No need to worry about it. This particular location is at the heart of Kabukicho so it is extremely convenient. Shopping and food everywhere. On the other hand, don’t expect a quiet place to stay."
