"On arrival we were greeted by Alison one of the owners & she gave us an idea of our bearings this was fantastic and really began a wonderful relationship for the whole stay. The room was small but extremely functional for us both and really comfortable and clean, only a couple of minor issues with maybe updating a few things but everything worked and we were extremely happy for the duration of our stay The breakfast and facilities were excellent & we loved our mornings catching up with the owners, John the chef was superb and the food was exceptional Loved the location the people and the food and slept extremely well for the duration of our stay We would recommend highly this wonderful accommodation and the owners/ staff were a credit to the Hospitality community "

"Such a warm welcome. A friendly, comfortable home-from-home in the most beautiful location, right by the beach. We were lucky enough to stay in the family suite which has 2 bedrooms & a bathroom - much nicer than all squeezing into one hotel room! Delicious & very generous breakfast. Our children loved the owners dogs! Thank you, we will return if in the area"

"Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all. Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. Great job and thank you Royal Britannia team."
