Very Clean and Modern Hotel Rooms

Hotel was spotlessly clean and rooms to match. We’d a very short stay in adjoining rooms prior to early proceeding morning flight so can comment on facilities.

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not. The bedding appeared to be leaving dust on the furniture ( cotton fibres from the bed linen). We still enjoyed our stay...food was very good

Great spot for a night away

Staff were lovely and pool area was clean and really modern. The rooms were beautifully finished. We didn’t eat in the hotel except for breakfast which was fine. But very few breads/pastries. Coffee wasn’t great either but aside from that a great hotel.

From arrival too check out Malachy and all the staff at Doubletree, we're welcoming , courteous and professional throughout as always. With regards to our room 320, it was spacious and it was nice to be able too open windows wide enough to benefit from normal ventilation which reduced the need for use of air conditioning (eco friendly). The only suggestion I would make regarding to room is the addition of small mirror above surface in place of picture that would allow guests to sit down whilst drying hair or applying makeup.( See attached image).

Good for a family

Fantastic place to stay with a family. Nice and quiet location, friendly staff, big and clean family apartment. 4-star hotel, but not over-the-top. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room all in perfect working order and very clean.

Great staff

Hotel in a good location. Pool was good, and warm so great to be able to have this facility for some down time. Staff all excellent from checking in to bar and restaurant staff. Ate in the restaurant twice, what I chose was as I wanted it and not expensive. Breakfast was a buffet style and was more than adequate.

Been newly refurbished. Beautiful hotel with spa and golf course. Room was spacious for family. Food also very good only negative is the service. We ate 3 nights as food was very good. But each night it was poor. Food was served fast when order was taken but in-between it was very poor. Was never asked about another drink on any of the 3 nights

Hubbys birthday treat

Booked the hotel for my husbands 68th birthday on the 13thJune we spent Sunday/Monday there very pleased with everything staff at reception very helpful catering staff pleasant and efficient especially female staff on the floor barman could smile more something I noticed pool excellent food very appetising all in all very enjoyable will return most definitely

A lovely hotel. We'll be back.

Great check-in experience. Tess on tracheotomy very friendly and the warm cookies were yum! Room looked to have been recently refurbished and was very spacious and clean. Rain shower was great and toiletries were high quality. We enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Drink prices were no worse than pubs in Belfast. Our deal was on half board basis, so a 2-course dinner was included. The menu was varied and we both easily found something to order along with a bottle of red (not included in package) from the extensive wine list. Food arrived in good time and was excellent. We retired to the lounge for a while after dinner were there was live entertainment provided. Repertoire was more aimed at older folks which wasn't particularly our taste but we enjoyed it all the same. I found the bed a bit hard &, uncomfortable but my wife slept very soundly. In the morning, breakfast was fine if a little confusing with various foods (hot food, fruit juices, pastries, cereals, fruit, hot drinks) located in different areas of the restaurant. An extra coffee machine wouldn't go amiss, only a minor gripe though. All in all, a great stay and we will most certainly return. Only thing I'd mention is that there are no plug sockets close to the mirror in the bedroom, only around the corner. If bringing own hairdryer/straighteners then you might need an extension if your cable is short.

The property advertised that it was fully renovated and 4star On arrival the lobby and staff were lovely. The room itself was very dated and the mattress was old and very uncomfortable I requested a new mattress and was told that I’d be moved to a different room however, they placed a thin mattress topper on the old one and told me that I’d been given a replacement mattress. Each morning around 7.30-8.00am there were workman drilling and hammering in either an adjacent room or the room above I ended up checking out 3 days into my 7 day stay I would not book this hotel again in the future

Bittersweet Stay

I annually book this hotel for myself and family, so we can have a relaxing and special night away together. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly male at the lift who offered to take our luggage, the receptionist however talked through check-in requirements so rapidly I didn't capture all she said. However we had a beautiful meal in the bar that night, and a very comfortable stay, the only complaint I had was when I booked the hotel it was with the understanding that we could use the pool, sadly we weren't advised this was unavailable due to maintenance underway until 9th December 2022 and we had no pool night for the kids, plus reception hadn't advised this on check-in. Overall loved the new decor and overall look of the hotel is beautiful, staff very attentive and friendly too

People were great, hotel is tired as are the rooms. Evening food was not good. Always a worry when you order cooked food and it arrives within a couple of minutes ! Not sure if it’s microwaved or not? Room tired. Breakfast served in a conference room on one morning. - very strange. - none of this is a major issue if the price reflected the current refurbishment activity - but it didn’t. In its current state - £75 per night inc bfast would be more appropriate.

Genuinely my favourite hotel in the world (which is a big statement considering I've travelled to all 7 continents) everytime i come here I fall in love with it that bit more. Special mention to Raul the barman who is genuinely a gentleman and always treats me and any guests with the highest level of respect.

We stayed teo nights, the night before and night of a wedding. The hotel was great but done contractir was banging a hammer somewhere nearby at 8am. Did not appreciate that but everything else was superb.
