Great pub, good food friendly service. We had the back room with an En-suite you could throw a party in. Brilliant shower and everything worked well except for the ridiculous fancy lighting switch system throughout the room that defies simple logic. Attached to the hotel is a micro brewery and farm shop with good fresh produce and good quality brewery souvenirs. Parking was plentiful and the beer garden was relaxing with good outlook and playground for kids to keep them amused. Very much enjoyed...

Lovely hotel and gardens with nice spa area. Room was clean and very comfortable. Very expensive hotel and you pay for the beauty and comforts but dismayed to then be charged for a bowl of nuts in the bar and for the breakfast. The continental breakfast buffet was lovely but the cooked breakfast was odd for such a good hotel. A very limp colorless omlette and pancakes an inch thick with very uncrispy bacon.

Check in / check out and stay were great, all round. The people were extremely helpful everywhere, from frontdesk to restaurant to cleaners. This hotel is highly recommended for family trips.

Stayed one night on business in the area. Wonderful hotel, great staff. I'll be staying there again!

Stayed here 10 years ago, and it was just as nice as the first time. The hotel itself and the staff & food were all top rate. Our room had a gigantic baolcony and a four poster bed, and a newly redone bathroom. The only complaint is that the mattress needs to be replaced. It was not comfortable at all. Hopefully it is the next thing on their 'to do' list.

What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home.

Very friendly welcome on arrival. Excellent room with fantastic views. Dinner in the bar in the evening was adequate and tasty but basic pub food very well presented. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and very politely served. All the staff were extremely helpful. If in the area we would definitely choose Hunters Lodge again.

Fabulous little place in the countryside. All the rooms are spacious and have their own uniqueness. They are comfortable and the huge windows give them a real bright and airy feel. The breakfast options were incredible. The staff go out of the way to ensure you have a great stay. I will be back
