"Loved the hotel, great location away from times square but walkable to times square, walked to theaters and central park, tons of restaurants close by. The elevator had issues but they were remodeling them I believe. Some of the staff were not so friendly but that is okay. Coffee machine available in the mornings and granola bars."

"The staff is amazing. The whole experience was very smooth. The exterior and lobby area are really shabby looking though. Could use a big upgrade on the lobby lighting and exterior. We thought it was a much shabbier place when we originally arrived because of that, but it really grew on us the longer we stayed, because of the staff and room. Overall very doable hotel. Reminded me of a good no frills but very clean and reliable European hotel. "

"Although the staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. We were concerned with the renovations going on. There were dozens of mattresses sitting in the lobby & outside the hotel. At first it was new mattresses waiting to be taken in. Then there was old mattresses waiting to be picked up. This in and out of the mattresses caused only 1 elevator to be available and staff was running it manually. This caused very long wait times every time we needed to go to or from our room. (15min plus waits each way) If we were on a low floor we would have used the stairs but we were on the 26th floor and 1 member of my party is pregnant so the elevator was a necessity. There has to be a better time than a fully booked weekend to change out mattresses. When I contracted them about this through my booking agent they denied any type of credit back. They need to have it on the site as under renovation so you are aware of it before booking and can decide. "

"We booked this same day. Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, as it was larger than expected. The toilet was not flushing very well, called the front desk and someone came up immediately to fix it and it was fine. Appreciated double beds and the location was good. Check in and check out was really easy but when we left the lobby was packed so its a popular location. Good value for the money and would stay here again. "

"This location is within close proximity to times square. Everything was just a short walk away. The cookies are always nice and warm at Double Tree just not this location. They were hard and cold unless you asked fpr them to be warm then you would have to wait for them to bake. Other than that I would recommend. "

"Parking was high on Expedia "

"There is no fridge, no microwave. The rooms were small as described but the room could use maintenance and cleaning. The thermostat did not work at all. I would lower it cause it felt humid and the temp would never drop I had to open the window. The towel heat warmer did not work. The safe never opened either. The good thing is it was located in a convenient location close to time square and lots of food and store options. "
