"Property is older so does show some wear. For example some corrosion along the bottom of the refrigerator. Entrance door handle also had a tendency to jam in the open position unless pushed with force. On the good side, the room was large and quiet. Windows allowed in a lot of light. Everything worked. The room must date from the 50’s but was kept clean. Bed did the job. And the staff could not have been nicer. Very welcoming. Though older, I would stay here again. Location is A1!! Two suggestions. Microwave is in a large non- descript cabinet. A note indicating its location would help. Also, the stairs leading to the room’s second floor location could use an overhead light at night for us older folk. Again, I liked its charm and it’s staff."

"Do not stay here. Staff is rude. I paid for a beach view room but it wasn’t even beach view I had a slight view of the beach. No staff was helpful, they were rude and made snarky comments. Target audience is white folk with money, if your anything else they won’t help or assist you."

"At first, the hotel room was not what we expected, as the description and photos didn’t quite match up. However, the staff immediately stepped in to help and showed us other available rooms both at the hotel and at the neighboring property under the same ownership. We ended up finding the perfect fit at the Aqua Hotel! Maggie and Natalia went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our room. Maggie is a true gem, and her warm, family-style hospitality is exactly what I appreciate most about places like this. Another huge plus is the variety of amenities. There are several pools to choose from, including both saltwater and freshwater pools, along with relaxing hot tubs throughout the property. The location is also fantastic — nestled just two blocks from the beach and surrounded by so many great places to shop, eat, and grab a drink. And whatever you do, do not skip Archibald’s Bakery! Because of the way we were treated, we will absolutely be back."

"This property is a small hotel right on the beach. The best things about the hotel: - It is right on the beach - the lounges and umbrellas are included into the resort fee ($40 per night) - Parking is available (one car per room at $50 per day - expensive, but the parking in this area is expensive) - The beach is very nice, and all rooms are oceanfront and have balconies - There is a restaurant on site - It is in a quieter part of the beach, away from the noise and the business of the public beach - Very convenient drive or uber ride to lots of restaurants, activities, and shopping. - Staff are all very nice - The room is spacious (we had a double queen) Negatives - Particularly, bathrooms could use updating. The bathtub and fixtures were old and the water pressure was not great - It would have been great to have a larger fridge in the room, but we made do with the mini fridge. Overall, excellent stay and would definitely chose this property again as the positives outweighed the negatives"
