We stayed June 29-July 4 in two separate 3rd-floor suites. Getting to the property from the ferry dock was easy (ferry dock to hotel was $160MX).
Dining options were somewhat limited--buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, pool bar for snacks afternoon and evening, and beach bar for snacks 11-6. Despite limited options, food was very good. We had the "all-inclusive" package, which doesn't include everything, but did include meals and drinks plus use of bikes. There is a "premium all-inclusive" package that includes more food and drink options, but still not everything.
Don't expect much Wifi or cell service at the hotel (or anywhere on the island, for that matter). But you aren't going to Holbox for the Internet. You are going there for the island vibe and the beach. If you desperately need Internet, go to Cancun.
Service at restaurants and bars was very good (be sure to tip).
Rooms were somewhat dated and could use some repair, but were very comfortable. Our 3rd floor rooms did not have balconies. The stairs can be quite an adventure, and an upper floor room may not be for everyone.
Vegetation throughout the property was nice--a real jungle feel. Buy mosquito repellent in town!
Power and water each went out a couple of times for a few minutes.
Downtown area was 5 minutes by bike, and only 10-15 walking.
Would definitely recommend, and would return.
