Killarney Hotel Guide - Knockreer Estate hotels in Killarney, Ireland.

"I do not usually write reviews of my stays at hotels but in this case I spent a fair amount of money for the room and property and I expected a better result. My dates for the hotel 11-15 May, 2026. I stayed in room #115 with my wife. The hotel and room were beautiful, but missing some amenities you would expect in a high end property. The room had an excellent desk but there was not a chair in the room that fit the desk. There were 2 very large arm chairs in the room that did not fit the desk. The room had a TV with several channels but did not have Netflix or any other streaming apps. Another room amenity missing - sheer curtains. The cost of the room was fair, but for that price I did not expect the hotel to charge an extra fee to utilize the in room safe. Also missing in the room a mini fridge. The high end quality of the property and price point for the guest rooms gives the patron high expectations. The Plaza did not meet those expectations with me."

"Great Southern is 5 star in all areas. The staff are outstanding, facilities perfect & the food / drink were excellent "

"The apartments are really close to the downtown area so easy to walk to shop and dine. The furnishings were pleasant and the staff was very helpful. One negative is that rooms with double bed have the bed against the wall so hard to get out from one side of the bed."

"The rooms were so spacious and clean! Great coffee and tea selection. Comfortable and big bed with great linens. The spa was ok, as the sauna and steam room were not very hot! Everything else was perfect!! Walkable to town for supper and drinks!"

"We loved the Killarney avenue hotel!!! In the heart of town and we even drove in and didn’t have issues parking in the surface lot but there was an underground car park as well. Staff were friendly and available and were helpful and prepared us in advance. Beds and rooms were comfy, AC available and great location to get around town or around Kerry which we took advantage of. "
