Difficult to find because google is terrible but the property is nice and clean, and the breakfast was good. The owners were very friendly.

Always a very good stay in Playa Del Carmen

This propierty is situated on a very quite area felt very safe, About 10 minutes walking distance from a big grocery store, no restaurant close by, but owners offered transportations to restaurants. Owners live in the property. Will recommend property if you are looking for a relax quite area

Nuestra estancia en Casa GEM ha sido una de las más placenteras que hemos tenido. Itzel y Serafín estuvieron siempre al pendiente de lo que necesitáramos. Nos dieron recomendaciones muy buenas de actividades y restaurantes a los que fuimos y quedamos muy satisfechos. Las opciones de transportación que ellos ofrecen hicieron nuestro viaje muy cómodo y divertido. Son perfectas para hacer viajes cortos en Playa del Carmen, sin costo o muy bajo costo, o para rentar un auto e ir un poco más lejos. Los desayunos (incluidos) que preparan diario eran justo lo que necesitábamos para empezar el día con el pie derecho. Sin duda los recomendamos y regresaremos pronto. Nos divertimos mucho con su compañía en los juegos de mesa. Muchas gracias muchachos por todas las atenciones.

Very nice property, hospitality and relaxing stay
we really enjoy the area and also the wonderful facilities and couple who own the property. Serafim is very helpful as is his wife Itzel. We recommend staying here for a relaxing and fun stay in Playa Del Carmen. A special thanks for their rides to and from Cancun. That really starts and ends the trip in the best way.

Cute B&B
This B&B was fine to shower and rest our heads during a one night stay before heading to the airport in Cancun. Our bathroom was excellent with plenty of hot water and pressure. Breakfast was made to order and also lovely. The staff were attentive and professional. On the downside, the property and pool looked a little worn and the neighborhood did not seem the safest. All of the properties in this neighborhood have electrified walls and security cameras pointed at the street to keep out burglars and the host insisted that we park in front of the cameras. Our small room was very comfortable although the second bed was quite small for our two children. Also a heads up that Google maps may try to take you down a dirt track to get there, you must enter from the main highway by the Chinese restaurant - we circled a bit trying to find it. Overall, I wasn't unhappy with the stay but if I was heading back to Playa del Carmen I probably would seek a bigger room for our family.

Dear Beth, Thank you for sharing your experience, we are sorry that your perception of the neighborhood seemed unsafe, any country has its own protection methods, some more elegant than others, and in our case an electrified fence is common in Mexico due to government regulations status, which we try to keep up to date.Thanks to the fact that we tell to our guests to have their car in front of the cameras, we notify them in case they leave their window open and it rains or a door is poorly closed and their battery can go down. There is a reason for our facts thought only of the comfort of our guests since we have never had any negative security incident in all the time we have been open (since 2017).The room that I reserve is comfortable for 3 people, actually 4 people is a bit small, but since it is high season unfortunately the rooms with more space are reserved quickly.

The manager and their team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect! They are very courteous and made us feel very welcomed. Their breakfasts are delicious and their rooms are extremely clean; they have the amenities as shown on the website. My family and I are defintively planning on coming back to Playa del Carmen and staying with them again. Thanks SO MUCH Casa Gem B&B!!!

We spent the night at Casa Gem before heading south on Mayan Coast roadtrip. We felt very welcomed by the staff, who were incredibly helpful in setting us up with dinner options, rental car, travel tips. They were accessible as resource throughout the stay and super super helpful. We'll definitely visit again!

Such a wonderful and quiet location, 15 mins from Xcaret, and 10 mins from downtown, it’s perfect if you need a breather from the congested downtown. I would come back again for sure!

Planned to take the ferry from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel but because of the windy conditions the ferries were cancelled for 2 days!! Found Casa Gem through Expedia on a humbug and was so fortunate to find this amazing Bed and Breakfast just 10 minutes away from the ferry dock!! Located in a safe, residential neighborhood, the husband of the owners duo called me to make sure I was able to find the location and came outside to guide me to the property!! I went grocery shopping in anticipation of heading to my destination and they were kind enough to keep my groceries in their fridge.The property was clean, quaint and quiet!! My reservation came with several choices for a scheduled homemade breakfast. This was to insure the dining area was cleaned and sanitized for me. Breakfast was amazing and my host Itzel ( wife of the dynamic duo) helped me navigate the 2 hour road trip to Chenchi Itza and even gave me the entrance gate key in case they were not home when I returned!! My 2 night unexpected stay couldn’t have been any better!! Because of The central location, rooms, hospitality and gracious staff , I’ll definitely be back and would HIGHLY recommend the Casa Gem!!

The property was great and the owners where amazing they where really nice, friendly and very helpful. The room very clean and spacious the beds where very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The location was great as well we where 10 minutes away from xcaret and and 5 avenue we really recommend this property.

The hosts are very friendly and helpfull with any question. The house is nice, comfortable and quiet. A car is necessary to access the house and it's not in a closed walking distance from the beach, but it's on the road to Xpu Ha beach and Tulum.

Great experience
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Playa del Carmen ! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff . The staff was extremely friendly, and flexible with requests (appreciate) Food was delicious had chilaquiles every day .We had five great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The second day we forgot our gear for explor park and the staff kindly took it to us to the park. Note, this is not a 5/5 star hotel .it really felt like home to me. All respect for the staff who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

We were very impressed with the overall Experience at Casa Gem. Since our arrival Serafin welcomed us in and helped us with our luggage followed by itzel who processed our check-in. From the very beginning they make you feel welcome and at home, they are very helpful, amiable, resourceful and respectul. We have stayed in many hotels but this has got to be the best hotel when it comes to superb customer service. I wll definitely recommend friends and family to stay here when they are in playa del carmen. Also the room was very clean and the mattress was very cozy and the location is relatively close to the parks and the strip. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Playa. Itzil and Serafim were both amazing. Treated us as family. The breakfast and choices were great. They also had a free shuttle within a 4km around the area and would take you into town and then pick you up when ready.

Definitely a GEM!
Casa Gem was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We only stayed one night but plan to return in the future to stay longer. Itzel and her partner were beyond accommodating and soooo friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the room was very nice! Loved the little pool right outside our room!

NICE & Close to the eco parks
I cannot say enough about the staff at Casa Gem. They were truly the gems of the entire experience. Very helpful, polite and knowledgeable about the attractions and surroundings areas. Breakfast was very pleasant and ALWAYS on time. The rooms were clean and tidy. Location is near the eco parks and very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our time.

Great vacations!!
Love Casa Gem Itzel and Serafin give a personalized attention we're so thankful what a hood expierience. We rented a car and the parks were loke 5 minutes from the hotel if you qre doing cenotes , Tulum , Akumal and rent a car the place is perfect and very affordable!

Good location. Clean room and delicious breakfast. The owners are very nice and willing to help us any way we needed. They helped us to get tickets to Xcaret and provided beach towels to us and our friends. We really enjoyed our stay.

One word: AMAZING!
- [ ] I came to Playa del Carmen for my birthday and had been searching for the perfect place to stay. I came across Casa Gem B&B and knew that I wanted to stay there. Itzel and Serafim were outstanding. The room was beautifully decorated and there service was impeccable. I highly recommend them for your stay in Playa del Carmen. They provide breakfast that is ordered the night before and ready at your designated time (It was delicious by the way); a free shuttle within so many miles of the b&b, great insight of the area and places to go; any requests or needs were provided with ease.; and they even gifted me a small loaf of cake with a card. Itzel and Serafim are very professional and down to earth. I do plan on visiting and staying with them again. Thanks again for making my birthday celebration one to remember.
