Hotel was really nice and the views from the rooms are spectacular. It does feel a bit dated in places and the food at the buffet was often cold - also not very good at catering for vegetarians as there is a lot of careless cross contamination both by guests and staff. Overall for the lower price for a hotel, did not expect amazing as you get what you pay for and we were happy with the stay for a couple of nights

We stayed at the "resort" for 8 nights. Location is good when it comes to airport tranfer, bus stops, restaurants and old town. The check in employees looked fed up of tourists...the room was very big and all face the ocean. There is an issue with the elevators...we booked half board and every meal time, we had issues with finding a table, getting the table cleaned up, and the employees were running mad.it made for a very stressful experiment. 😳 To my eyes..this is not a five star hotel.

The staff are lovely and the hotel has an amazing setting. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and we struggled a bit with all the restrictions against smoking outside on terraces (a bit weird outdoors) - but we loved the hotel, the people, the food and the drinks

We have just returned from a week and an amazing time at Semiramis hotel. we highly recommend and we would definitely return. While we were a bit unfortunate with 3 days of clouds due to kalima, the facilities of the hotel enabled us to nevertheless have a great time. They have an outside pool which is a great length, depth, with loads of beds, showers, pool bar; they also have a lovely heated pool and an outside jacuzzi which adds to a great experience. We were on an all inclusive package and the food was great, plenty of choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner and also the snacks between meals. Drinks are good too, plenty of choices. Every night, the hotel holds a themed dinner: Mexican, ethnic, Mediterranean, gala dinner (amazing fish & seafood dinner), Italian, etc. A lot of prepared food, cooked from fresh food, salads, all sort of dishes and sides, really not short of choice. They do themed shows every night by the pool bar: Singers, dancers, Michael Jackson look alike, opera singer, a Latin band, etc. They organise daily activities like water polo, darts competition, archery, pizza making, acqua gym, pj party for kids, water castle by the pool, etc. The team running the animation by and at the pool is great, super accommodating, helpful, cheerful, always around and ready to help and assist. We had a great time and good value for money. Staff is great, welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help or provide for guests.

Great place for families and retirees.
This was a very nice hotel with lots of amenities. The hotel is built into the side of a cliff, so all rooms are sea views. The food was excellent with a wide variety of choices. Drinks are reasonably priced. The only issues were 1) the AC was not operating, but the evenings were cool, so just opened the patio door, and 2) the water from the shower could go from warm to cold to scalding hot. Explore the area above the hotel as well as the area below. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Very reasonable prices. great place to buy electronics, cameras etc.

Lovely modern hotel which was kept really clean. Breakfast options were great. Staff were really helpful apart from the reception staff who were indifferent at best and didn’t let us into our room until after 2.30pm despite it stating on our booking that check in was from 2pm.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Although we weren't in one of the higher level rooms we were on the 8th floor which was fine. We cannot thank the staff enough for their excellent service. They were always very helpful and the bar staff very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily again very good service. Thank you - we will visit again.

Enjoyed the stay with the family! Great views of the ocean, easy access to the city by foot, spacious rooms, friendly staff, reasonable prices. On the flip side, there could've been more options for vegetarians for dinner.

Big room, amazing view, good price-quality ratio
Nicely renovated bigger hotel just a couple of minutes to walk to the center of Puerto. We had a nice stay in the room, heated pool and area. You have a great view and really rooms with a lot of space. You can hear the waves and ocean all night, we loved it, some people do not. The price-quality ratio is absolutely good.

Really disappointed in this experience I had a room on one floor of the ones downstairs in the hotel and the whole hallway and rooms smell old pipes and it feels like a really awkward sewer smell I don't know how they can give a five-star rating to a hotel like this that really looks like three-and-a-half or maximum four stars the hotel also has no heating and air conditioning service only because you use one of the two so if you are hot unfortunately there is no way to place air conditioning The internet is the worst service is very bad the food To tell the truth, it leaves a lot to be desired Without variety it only has a kind of buffet that is really bad And neither is it from a five star hotel Most of the staff is friendly but others are really rude specifically if something is reported that is wrong With respect to the location of the hotel and the views it has, the landscape is really beautiful, and the hotel rooms have a good view

I liked the different foods they had out for breakfast and it was delicious. What i I didn't like was the temperature of the hot tub and the heated pool, they were both not heated at all.

3-Star Hotel Incorrectly Marketed As 5-Star
Our first impression of the Best Semiramis hotel in was to arrive in our rented vehicle in the evening and to find no parking. The hotel offers six small parking spaces for a huge property of 17-floors! So where was the parking that was advertised when I booked? Granted, it was stated that parking was limited, but I think six slots for a hotel that accommodates 1,000-plus guests should realistically be marked as “no on-site parking”. Street parking was free, but limited, so every night we found ourselves having to loop the block several times until an on-street parking space became available. We were checked in promptly and were given a complimentary glass of (tinned) pineapple juice. The receptionist, Sara, was helpful and informative. Our room, 601, was large but rather basic. It was kept clean, but we had to ask for tissues and thereafter we were given just two tissues per person per day, which was wholly insufficient. Also, there was a bin in the toilet, but none in the living area, so we had to ask for an extra bin too. The hotel was marketed as a 5-star property and priced accordingly, in comparison with other hotels in Puerto de la Cruz, but it did not have even basic amenities. The air-conditioner in the room did not work, so we alerted reception within an hour of our arrival, and again the following morning, but nobody ever visited the room and so nothing was done. We had a bed and breakfast package, but breakfasts were unpleasant purely because we found more

The rooms were spacious with a gorgeous seaview to wake up to. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily providing clean towels. The property is walking distance from shops and restaurants overlooking the sea.

Room lovely with a view of the town and the sea. Kept immaculately clean every day. Location good, not noisy or busy but close enough to walk to town, some gorgeous gardens, along the coastal path and to local shops & bars. Food was generally very good. some dishes were not to our taste but there was always plenty of choice. Salad buffet was especially good. The only slight negative was the quality of the entertainment wasn't always the best but that seems to be standard in hotels. Some of the hotel looks a little dated but all still very comfortable.Service was top notch.

Property location is good, on a cliff, all rooms have sea view. It’s 15-30 mins walking distance to beaches both sides, but the hotel has 2 pools - a smaller heated one and a bigger not heated one. We were there in November and the big one was too cold for us, weigh the ambient temp bring 22 deg on average. Buffet breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of dishes, but most of them were the same each day. Porridge wasn’t very good, wines at the bar are awful, my husband and I were sick on some days. Room was cleaned every day, but the hotel is a bit tired overall, there are far better 4*. There was one wonderful animator, Judith, who did yoga, stretching, Pilates and aqua gym classes for us, games in the afternoon. The hotel had shows on most nights.
