Beds were very comfortable. A beautiful but aging old hotel. Requires alot of modernisation to bring it up to spec. Staff are fabulous and food is great. The hotel is missing out on basics such as hoovering communal areas as debris could be seen on floors from the night beforehand and windows havent been cleaned in ages. Outdoor pool is not working which was disappointing. Room temperatures were a little hot as windows couldn't be fully opened. An average stay

Arrived and greeted by the most incredibly kind staff. They really couldnt have given us any more to make us feel welcome. Want to give a huge thanks to Robin on reception. My husband has a neck injury and the staff even offered to get pain medications from the local Pharmacist for us. The food in 1881 resturant within the grand hotel was delicious and served by Felix. What a kind gentleman he was also. Even making my young boy happy by giving him free mocktails! Both inside and outsoor pools area great addition to our stay, the breakfast is tasty and always left each morning with full bellies. We will definitely be coming back. We were so sad to leave today.
