"The redesign of the building is lovely, and we were really looking forward to our stay but it did not quite go to plan. Our room was next to the air vent for the kitchen which was extremely noisy, as were the kitchen deliveries during the night. The restaurant served my pregnant wife a meal with an alcoholic relish despite us checking it with them beforehand several times. The manager denied this the next day until we showed him a photograph! We are trying to support local pubs and hotels but we would not stay here again. "

"This was by far and away the Best Hotel that I and my brother in law plus wives have ever stayed in for a short break. The food including evening meals were of a quality seen on Masterchef. The staff were so professional and made every effort to make our stay memorable, nothing was too much trouble. No I am not related to the owners but Fantastic is how I would explain this experience. "I have been staying in Dartmouth working for the past 8 months and wish I found this place sooner. It is a lovely room with views and the couple are lovely and very welcoming. This place is better than all the hotels that I have stayed in. Would 100% recommend and happily stay in again."

"The place is surface level clean but if you end up having to move furniture e.g because you drop something behind the bedside table, it’s quite dirty. That’s just one example, inside the cleaning cupboard, if you need a broom for example, again, dirty. The electric meter cost way more than the estimates provided. Please note that we stayed in the cold month of December. We never really got it toasty warm like with central heating. The electric meter had a momentary blip where it would keep rejecting coins despite using it fine the evening before. We appreciate this isn’t an issue the owners have experienced before but just highlighting it did happen to us. The shower was weak & took a while to get used to. Again, the owners say they haven’t experienced problems reported before but we’re highlight that, for us, it wasn’t an easy “turn it on & you’re away” like our home shower. It’s temperamental. In trying to get it warm enough. It’s tired & things like door frames could do with a lick of paint and there’s splatter marks in the main bedroom. Light switches aren’t where you would intuitively reach for them, like in the second bedroom. And the decor and furniture is poor. My husband and I can pick things up pretty quickly but we just found the who found the whole thing a faff. If you’re on a very tight budget and have the time to read & learn everything- it’ll probably be fine. But we’ll never return. On a plus, the bed was comfy & the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. "

"Very impressed with the inside of the chalet. Amazingly clean, nice comfy beds and some lovely little touches left by the host. Thank you for a lovely stay. Only downside is that there are no lights outside and can not see at night time. Someone was also using our car parking space so we had to use someone else’s."

"Had a really comfortable stay, chalet was clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Location was perfect for getting about every where we wanted and Dartmouth harbour was 7 mins away in the car. My only criticism and it’s not really of any concern is that the outside lacks curb appeal and gives you a wrong first impression as the inside is fine for what it is."

"Beds in both rooms are small. Double bed only 3/4. Twin beds not suitable for taller adults. Only ok for children or shorter adults."

"We really enjoyed this stay, beautiful property, great location, really comfortable and modern. The host Alison was so attentive and interested in our stay and made sure we were happy. Beautiful sun deck outside, fabulous for pets, ( As we took our Labrador ) I can’t say and praise enough about this property accommodation. Dartmouth is glorious and beautiful and the location is a stone throw from beautiful beaches. We will recommend to everyone. "

"We really enjoyed the lovely and quite place.There was mostly everything .Bathroom ,shower cabin was big enough.Dartmouth port and ferry was only 10mins by car.Car park on line or call.You neex to have enough changed .Unfortunately you can use contactless.Lots of shops and Restaurant aroundPlace is big enough for a family.The only bunk bed can be change for a double or a normal bunk bed.We spends a lively family time.Thank you"
