"We liked the lively atmosphere, and they have nicely updated the rooms from when it used to be the Pearl. The bars and restaurants on property were convenient and about average. We liked the convenience of towels next to the pool area. One suggestion though…They really need to install dehumidifiers in their rooms! My hair wouldn’t dry naturally and all the wet towels and bathing suits never dried. The bed felt damp. They make you sign an agreement to keep the temperatures in a certain range so I wasn’t able to sufficiently heat or cool the room to combat the humidity. Overall though I’d stay again. Next time I’m going to purchase and bring a dehumidifier with me. "
"This is the fourth time we've visited San Antonio and the fourth time we've stayed here. It's a beautiful place -- great atmosphere, great restaurants, great rooms. The pool is very family friendly and our grandson had a great time in it every evening. Best of all -- stairs from the hotel lead right to the River Walk. "
"Wonderful hotel right on the beach. Kitchenette was handy. Clean room, nice balcony, friendly service. I really enjoyed my stay here and will consider again my next visit to SPI. "
