"This place was perfect for my one night stay in Hanoi before taking the train to SaPa! They greeted me by name and stored my luggage for me all day after I checked out but before my train departed in the late evening. They even let me shower in the evening after a long day of walking around so I would be fresh for the train! Highly recommend!"

"This was a good place to stay. They did a good job of communicating with me via the app and arranged for a driver to meet me at the airport. A staff member helpfully carried my bag for me up to the 5th floor. The room was as advertised, comfortable & clean. The options for eating near by were overwhelming and sights were walkable. They were quick to offer any help in booking travel services & stored my bag for a bit after check out."

"The West is a great location in the Old Quarter. We have been to Hanoi many times and I think this has been my favorite hotel. Ms. Linh was amazing. She was so helpful with anything we needed and very sweet. She helped us book a trip to Sapa that we really enjoyed. We will definitely be staying at The West again in the future!!"

"Fantasic stay. From the outset we were greeted with friendliness. On check in we were given tea and information, and our bags were taken to our room. Stylish and comfy rooms in a great location. To date this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in and you are made to feel incredibly welcomed. "

"We stayed here because it was walkable to the one pillar pagoda and other things we needed to get to. Also, the price was really good. The staff was accommodating and excellent. The rooms have some wear but overall in good shape and they clean the rooms well. The walls aren’t very sound proof so you can hear loud talking and crying kids next door but normal volume conversations aren’t noticeable. Because no one is really out past 11pm it is quiet after that. I would stay here again. "
