"The apartments themselves are nice, clean, comfortable, and you can tell someone’s put thought into them. But honestly? Our stay was somewhat frustrating, and I wish we’d known a few things before booking. First off, the dust. There were building works happening in the street outside for our entire stay, and no matter how much they cleaned, everything was covered in a fine layer of dust within hours. It’s not their fault though. Then there’s the noise. The manager will tell you it’s “normal for the area and to be expected,” but that doesn’t make it okay. Bars stay open until 2am, and even after they shut, you’ve got drunk people shouting and stumbling around the streets for another hour or so. The location in Barrio Alto is great if you want to be in the middle of things, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. But be prepared: this area is seriously hilly. Lots of steep streets up and down, which gets old fast, especially with bags or after a long day out. Parking’s about a five-minute walk away, which is fine, but here’s the catch, you need someone from reception to open the gate for you. The staff are really friendly, helpful, and clearly try their best despite the issues. They’re the main reason we’d even consider coming back. Overall? The apartments have potential, but you need to consider the dust now (in July / Aug) , the noise, and the access quirks, if you are fine with that, then it is a nice place to stay!"
