Very enjoyable stay. Food very good. Staff friendly. Quiet hotel despite a lot of people staying. Very useful parking. On a bus route but easy walk into Cambridge.

The hospitality was the best! The staff were exceptional and helpful in any questions we could have. Look forward to staying there again if we get the chance to go to Cambridge again! The food at the restaurant could not be better!!

Decent for 3 star but on hot days, keeping the window open is necessary, and then you hear all the traffic noises from the busy road. Breakfast was good. Pizzaria looks good.. reception is not 24 hrs.

Sorrento!
Popular restaurant. Food was good. Room was clean. Covid procedures in place. Reception went out of the way to help. Car park limited in size but owner moved his car to allow me to park.

The hotel is very handy to central Cambridge with parking available the staff are great, the only problem is it is a little dated and the bed wasn't great for me.

Ok hotel. A bit run down. The room was very cold. The hairdryer didn't work and the basin plug didn't work either. Pleasant staff. !ovely dining room and breakfast.

Short stay better than OK
My room was small (and the bathroom even smaller), but it had plenty of storage, was warm and the bed was very comfortable. It was fine for an overnight stay though I would have found the room too small if staying longer. The restaurant was agreeable and staff very pleasant. Breakfast very good. Price rather high. I would stay there again if in the area but would try to negotiate a reduction.

Lovely hotel, reception staff welcoming also waiter and waitress in restaurant however no wine list was a let down. Also paper menus but food was excellent. Breakfast staff not so welcoming, we felt we were an inconvenience to them. Room was small lovely having our own sauna and jacuzzi, would have liked a chair in the room also it was very warm.

The hotel was exceptional, staff very good, helpful and cheerful. My partner is in Addenbrookes hospital so I needed somewhere close. It ticked all the boxes.

OK - But needs improvement
The on site parking was a bonus but room was tired and a bit dated. Breakfast could have been better. Staff were young and very sullen and table contents were not kept topped up. Staff had to be asked for items.

handy for cherry hinton hall
well located between the centre of town and cherry hinton hall which was ideal for us attending the folk festival. pleasant and helpful staff, nice breakfast and clean and comfortable room. the car park is a bonus and the pub next door is also another nice benefit adding to the overall experience.

This is an old hotel. The room had very firm beds and pillows. It worked for my group, a double plus twin in a room. The breakfast was fabulous. Lots of pastry, meat cheese and cooked to order eggs. Not much you can do about the building. Not old enough to be quaint but not new enough to be spacious. The family room fit and was a welcome alternative to 2 rooms.

Comfortable in Cambridge
I was given a very nice welcome on arrival and check in was quick and efficient. It was a very hot day, so the first thing I did was to open the windows in my room and have a shower. Unfortunately very little hot water, but as I wanted to cool down, it was not a big problem and there was hot water the following morning. I was in Cambridge for a dinner at a different hotel, so didn't eat at Sorrento that evening. Breakfast was good. A choice of Continental or English, included in the room price. The room itself was on the small side, but the bed was very comfortable and larger than a standard single bed. There was a safe in the room and free WiFi. The WiFi was a bit temperamental. Difficult to log on, but eventually cracked it and it worked fine. I would certainly return next time I visit Cambridge.

We stayed for two nights. The room was rather cramped - couldn't open the wardrobe next to the bed. The shower was very cramped - it was difficult to move around in. Our room was at the front which was a bit noisy. Good breakfast though. There is a bus every 10 minutes into the city centre which was very convenient.
