"The property was in a very good location, less than a 10 min walk to the centre and to the castle (we had come to attend a music event) it was lovely to be so close. The only downside was there was no opening window, it was a sealed unit. The weather is no fault of the owners and though they had provided a fan the room was uncomfortably hot."

"I would highly recommend this place. The location is excellent. It’s a quiet neighborhood, yet everything is within walking distance. You don’t compromise living space for location. The unit is large, well equipped and very well maintained. Being on the third floor allows you to open windows for a nice breeze which is great in the summer. Secured off-street parking is a huge plus. I’m hard pressed to find any shortcomings. There was only one wine glass in the kitchen which was a bit odd. I...

"Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment. Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs. The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off. Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners."

"Me and my family loved staying at Novotel, it feels nicer than other hotels we’ve stayed in. The pool and spa facilities are wonderful but much better earlier in the morning and later in the evening as there is less people. The staff are supportive and attentive. Eilidh was absolutely fantastic. The customs shed staff were brilliant, we had a lovely tikka masala. The waiter Anthony was a delight and a credit to the hotel. So lovely and genuine! Overall, we had agreed that if we were to come to Cardiff, we would come back to this hotel only as it’s simple yet fantastically effective"
