"Thank you June and Mark for a lovely stay at Little Beeches. We felt welcomed from the start. The home is tasteful and homely. While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. The Hand Hotel Llangollen by Compass Hospitality

"We were welcomed to the Hand hotel by polite and helpful staff . The Historical building is old but functional, and you can see it’s gone through some modernisation in the bar/ restaurant and outside sitting area , which was is a very nice and relaxing setting next to the river. However, indoors the hotel could do with a lift, as if your elderly, disabled, have a push chair , or suitcases, you have a struggle climbing stairs! Our room in particularly overlooked the entrance doors, and you can see through the windows of the hotel rooms opposite, and vice versa, so curtain nets are required. The room could be better arranged to accommodate the table and chairs , and tv would be better on the wall. Bed sheet was clean but base sheet was dirty around edge of the bed. Bathroom floor needed a mopping and plug does not fit in the bath. There were no drinking glasses provided , only 2 small plastic beakers in the bathroom. Shelf directly over the sink prevents you from washing your face properly in fear of catching your head! A room phone to reception would be useful ? Our stay was comfortable, but rooms need updating and modernising to fall inline with modern living!"

"A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now)."

"Slightly odd stay. The hotel is down a little lane. I didn't realise that there was a charge for parking until I arrived. You need to ring a bell to get in to the hotel and then you get let it. As I arrived there were some people who thought they had a room booked but the person working there could not find it. I was then checked in and taken to my room. Nothing about the hotel was explained. As we went to my room, some parts of the hotel looked grand with impressive furishings, others looked like they were still being refurbished. I saw signs for a bar & restaurant - and a health club - and asked about the bar and restaurant but that did not actually exist yet. There was no food or drink in the hotel. Access to my room was via a pin code rather than a key. I was concerned that the pin for my room was very simple and had a relationship to the room number so it may have been possible to work out the other pins for other rooms if they followed the same format. I wasn't given anything to show that I had checked in. My room was large and comfortable with a desk, good wardrobe space and a good comfortable bed. There were plenty of sockets but no USBs. The bathroom was a decent size and had a shower over a bath. The person who had checked me in didn't say much, and when I came to check out at around 7am there were no staff to be found anywhere in the hotel. After searching for some, I left a post it note to say I had checked out. "

"Great for beach, quiet side of Prestatyn.. Staff are friendly, Breakfast nice plenty on offer.. Stayed a few times now as my grandson loves the pool and beach.. Disappointed that they put a restriction on pool times for children, never had this before and wasn’t informed when I booked it… Food is lovely, as we only stayed two nights it was easy to eat in but if stayed longer would eat out too.. Every time we stay there seems to be a wedding at some point an when this happens there is a shortage of staff covering the bar which causes cues for the bar, as they have passing trade plus residence and the wedding to cater for .. More bar staff on these occasions .. seating out is great watch the sea and enjoy the weather if nice. We will be back again as it great for all the family"

"The room was clean and plenty of towels. WiFi wasn’t good in the room but very good in the bar. Breakfast was average, would have liked more selection in the “bakery section” maybe a bagel, crumpets, crusty bloomer. Fruit selection was lacking too. Swimming pool and facilities surrounding it were clean but dated but we had a good time"
